On the off the record briefing, the press says "White House Sources say", or the administration thinks... etc. Basically, it is an anon briefing. If they wanted to be quoted on the record, they would have gone on the record. The concept that a person giving something off the record, can later be payed back by the White House, by giving up his anonymity, without his/her consent, is chilling to me.
This was not some whistleblower going to a reporter or reporters. It was--and Clarke acknowledged--a briefing given on behalf of the WH and they have every right to reveal the contents of it. It is NOT the same as the scenarios you spin, no matter how you try and twist it.

Yea you are better off just sending the clipping. LOL If you do send rice they will think it is some sort of terrorist threat and I can just see the HazMat team evacuating the building. LOL

It was a major mistake for Kerrey to attack Fox News -- Ailes won't like it.
Perhaps it's time for some reminders to all about how CNN covered up the truth in Iraq -- by their own admission.
How's that for journalistic integrity, Senator Kerrey?

If this forum is reporting on good news on one side then no one would ever see the obvious disaster unfolding. Disaster? Why don't you wait to see how this unfolds before jumping off a bridge. A two point swing is not a "disaster."

OK... so I'll try to do better than John Kerry: "I was wrong but I was actually right."

"I'm losing sympathy for these families. We all lose loved ones. We don't all get millions of dollars because of it. But we all have to get over it."
Exactly.
The sister of a very close friend was killed in the embassy bombing in Kenya. She was an accomplished doctor and researcher as is her husband. She was not embassy personel, she was attached to a CDC group, her project was developing a vacine for malaria. She had stopped by the embassy to collect their mail, 10 minutes earlier or later and she would have been spared. There is no way to measure to what extent her considerable skills and abilities might have contributed to the world.
She left behind a grieving husbamd and the 3 siblings they had adopted in Atlanta shortly before accepting the post in Kenya. The children were from a very abusive home and had just begun to trust again. No one paid millions to any of them.... just the opposite, in fact, the family established a scholarship fund in her memory for young girls in Kenya. They still miss her terribly but they've gotten on with their lives as she would have wanted them to do.

Pelosi says we must support our troops with equipment and intelligence, but voted against the funding, like Kerry.

Not ratings-wise, last I looked anway :) BTW, I was in three different businesses today that had TVs turned to the news. FNC was on in all three. I made sure to comment how much I appreciated that :)

I'd like to see Pelosi stand next to Kerry so we could compare the results: Botox vs. Plastic Surgery. :o)

If anyone was watching these hearings, FNC would be broadcasting. This story may have a short life, noone may be interested.

This Administration has taken less time and effort to liberate 50 million people in two countries than it took Clinton to handle a child custody case in Waco, Texas.

Perhaps its time we stop relying on the major networks to present both sides of the story? Perhaps we stop hoping they'll present the truth? Perhaps it's time we register ourselves as Media outlets and start issuing press releases with background info and facts to contradict mass media?

OKAY EVERYBODY - I'VE READ SO MANY COMPLAINTS HERE - THIS IS THE CHOIR YOU'RE COMPLAINING TO.
CALL THE 9/11 COMMISSION 1-202-331-4060. ONE LONG DISTANCE CALL WON'T KILL YOUR BUDGET. LET THESE PEOPLE KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. NO BAD LANGUAGE - NO SWEARING - NO THREATS - KEEP IT CIVILIZED - BUT A LITTLE INDIGNATION IS OKAY.
I SUGGEST - THEY GET RID OF THE AUDIENCE. IF PEOPLE WANT TO ATTEND - NO NOISE - NO CLAPPING. THIS IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST - THIS IS ABOUT NATIONAL SECURITY. AND .. I THINK WE SHOULD STRESS THAT WE SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT AND WE BELIEVE HE DID MORE THAN ANY OTHER PRESIDENT TO KEEP US SAFE.
OKAY - MAN YOUR BATTLE STATIONS - THIS IS WAR!!!

I hope Fox talks about this issue a LOT! Jim Angle's credibiity as well as Fox has been seriously challenged. On national TV. Nearly slander IMO from Kerrey but probably just short.
