They let him ramble on about his non-partisanship. What does that have to do with anything?

Yes, the good guys are winning.

Clarke claims he is a non-partisan independent registered as a Republican, yet a simple Open Secrets web search shows that his campaign donation, the only one he made so far, is going to a DEMOCRAT running for Congress from Missouri.

FGS, if he calls 7 1/2 months a "very, very long time" then what in God's name does he call 8 years ?

Many thanks.
Fielding: (Why) didn't you advise the joint inquiry? Why didn't you tell them the Administration was too preoccupied..." (with Iraq).
Clarke: "I wasn't asked."

Okay - here is a good question.
Question: Why didn't you tell the joint inquiry committee about your concerns? We have your testimony to them and you never raised your concerns to them in over 6 hours of testimony.

Because he disagreed with going after Saddam. I repeat, this is NOT about preventing terrorism; it's about bashing President Bush about Iraq. I imagine the Dims consider this part of their "pre-impeachment" hearings.

He's being asked now that when he testified to someone else for six hours, why didn't he mention his concerns then and why did he wait for his book to come out? Because no one asked him before

I think so. Armitage immediately follows Clarke, I believe.

I think it's time for you to step off the ledge and finish it. It's not quite that bad. Despite non-stop coverage of the Dems positions, Kerry's war record, Kerry's friends, the Kennedy's and constant bashing of the sitting President, THE BEST THE DEMS CAN DO IS GET EVEN IN THE POLLS!!!
Do you understand that? This is the best they can do....getting to even. The President hasn't even started his campaign in earnest and the sway is leaning towards the President.
IF the future is really that crappy, step off the ledge now and finish it.
Yes, we're fighting multiple fronts in this war for our country. But, we continue to win with the truth and with action. Do NOT underestimate this President nor the American people.
Despite our inadequacies as a country, we're still the best around. We are because we work hard, we play fair, and we are a culture of families. We will continue to be the best for those very same reasons.

Clarke = Slimeball.
To: GOPrincess
"You must agree that a joint inquiry isn't like a press background briefing where you try to highlight the positive and play down the negative..." Asks him why he didn't tell the Joint Inquiry EVERYTHING.
Clarke saying "I answered everything that was asked."
(Obviously he didn't care that much about the safety of our country if he kept his mouth shut before Congress...)
