Yep. That tribute to Hope just really choked me up.

I remember little things like there was always usually a Bob Hope film on when I was a kid and got to stay home from church sick. Remember watching one of his films(it was a spoof western) and absolutely refusing to take some icky medicine, and then my dad literally chasing me around the kitchen table to make me take it!

I turned off my TV (Dish Network) so this show wouldn't get any money from my monthly fee. The Network knows (via a computer chip) what shows we watch & that station gets a percentage of our money.

What made me turn it off was Crystal's first anti-BUSH joke! I refuse to watch Hollyweird trash Bush, Gibson and Christianity!

We learned that some of our money is paid to the stations we watch after calling Dish Network about MTV after the SuperBowl.

She had starring roles before that.

She paid her dues by acting in a number of Texas produced films in the 1990s. As I say, she used to hang around Emo's.

I never met her but I'd see her there even in the years she was making some films. I knew another blonde actress who never got anything completed.

Go back and read my post, if you have that ability:

Now you claim to know what Bob Hope, a comedian who LIVED political humor, would think is funny.

I just think many are being awfully hypersensitve.

"I am left thinking Hollywood is being given a bad name by the activists and loudmouths, for the most part. "

We'll have to wait until next year's award shows to see if Mel's movie gets nominated and wins anything as to whether Hollywood is being given a bad name.

Isn't it inappropriate to play "Hail to the Chief" for anyone other than the President? Did I miss something?

I can find some solance in the memory of the time the band struck up the piece of music that Monty Python used for their tv theme as the introduction for Bill Clinton.
