Even though I vehemently oppose abortion, I would have to say that the action of shutting down clinics would be illegal by letter of the law. However, if some politician wanted to make a statement by doing just that, I wouldn't get in his way.
If he believes it's his "moral obligation", it's subordinate to the moral obligation of upholding the law. If it's a law he doesn't want to uphold, he should go back to the private sector.
At the same time, it's not sinful for a politician to "uphold" the law that allows abortions, however, it is sinful to promote/and or fail to take a stand against it.
To: Dalan
Time for the people to insist that these law breakers are put in jail.

Sort of like a "Marriage AIDs."
So far, all "marriages" are evidence of fraud. Fraud is illegal, too.
NY does not allow homosexual sex to be considered a loving marriage.
The homosexuals are forcing a Constitutional Amendment to ban them. Maybe that's Gods plan. It'll throw them into the lake of fire for generations.
There was a queer interviewed on FOX this a.m., who wrote in his book their goal was to destroy marriage because "it's a archaic institution that's sexist"
Also, FOX reported a "Gay network" within the Catholic church that molested a total of 10,600 young boys so far.

This at least reminds the inattentive public that Bush did not raise this issue. The gay lobby is pushing its agenda hard.

On a positive note, this is a clear indication that the U.S. economy is stronger than ever before. Any society that has time for this kind of crap is obviously bored to tears, and obviously isn't using very much effort to sustain its standard of living.

I'd like to see State and Federal funds cut off to this town, and San Francisco. Then we'll see how smug these Mayors are!
To: Angelus Errare
You are absolutely correct. However, the Rule of Law has been replaced by "Social Justice".
To: Rightone
It's going to get a lot worse, but the more this is pushed, the bigger a backlash is going to occur.

I heard him on the radio today.

judiciary is now making the lawRight after WWII, the communist said they'd make the United States a communist nation eventually. They'd take their time, and destroy it from within.
It appears they weren't joking. They're here and in charge now.
Our Republic is in trouble, and there's never been a better time to defeat the commies once and for all. If only our elected officials would do what they were elected to do!!!

"We have to show people who we are," he said. "We've been badmouthed by religious zealots. We've been deprived by President Bush and we have to show people that we're your friends, neighbors and family.""Now give us your children so that we may have sex with them."

Agreed. The time for "slipery sloap" arguments have passed. This is it. We've hit bottom. This is the time. If your conviction is for Family, then NOW is the time to speak out.

I think Stanley Kurtz pretty much nailed this one on the head - if this isn't stopped, no instance of judicial activism (or executive activism, in the case of Newsom) will ever be able to be challenged again.
To: Montfort
This at least reminds the inattentive public that Bush did not raise this issue. The gay lobby is pushing its agenda hard.Unfortunately, that's now how the fascist/leftist sympathizers in our "media" portrays it. If you've noticed, the media never even mentions that there is any such thing as a gay agenda. They make it look like this sort of thing just sort of happens by natural inevitable processes, and when conservatives try to do something about it, or even talk about it, we're the ones being devisive.

I cannot wait until some bisexuals comes forth and wants to marry BOTH his sugnificant other. At that point the gays will show their prejudice. They already have!
On FOX this a.m., a homosexual referred to polygamy and incest as "immoral" and "against the law."
This is no joke.
