February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

Quite interesting. I recall the pictures of the Falls on one of those jihad sites- the picture was taken from the Canadian side. I remember then we were debating what it meant. Someone had pointed out that there is a major power generating station in the vicinity. That was the same time that the threats kept repeating,"water,water,water".

I'm also wondering if bride and groom, cake and candles- refer to particular weapons. (For example- cake could mean suitcase nuke; candles could mean ignition.) Just a thought. AQ's used the word "perfume" to depict a weapon.

Re- virus- Reports said the same thing about the people at the Philadelphia Hotel (Loew's) becoming violently ill- same symptoms- with 69 people needing to go to emergency rooms.
One thing I found interesting was that the Republicans were there Jan 29-31, and Bush had made an appearance. Several of these visitors became ill AFTER leaving the hotel. The next crew in included a large group who worked for a mortgage company in Jersey. They arrived 2/2 and their illnesses occurred soon after.

May have been me. That was a while ago. I don't believe it would be too hard to stage something on the Canadian side of the Falls. You can drive around that area very freely. Taking out the power here again would be a real downer as it is still cold at night, eh.

Aren't there many stairs under one of the falls at Niagara Falls? I remember a trip there many years ago when we took a boat ride under the falls. I also vaguely remember walking up or down many wet steps. This was about 30 years ago and the memory is fuzzy.
