May have been me. That was a while ago. I don't believe it would be too hard to stage something on the Canadian side of the Falls. You can drive around that area very freely. Taking out the power here again would be a real downer as it is still cold at night, eh.
The power in my area of Grand Prairie TX went out this morning for 5 hours...needless to say I felt rather impotent not having an alternate way to get news. Not even a battery powered radio. This will change.
I do however have ham radios run off the car battery and I quicky found there was no RACES net up and all the other hams were having routine days.
As far as news from overseas or across the country, ham radio would be the only thing working without electricity...since it requires no wires or generators.
