The entire superbowl is just a complete waste of time. Does CBS not understand that American families watch football? I'm sure they do, they were merely trying to shove their "progressive" ideas in our faces. Why else have mtv take care of halftime? Just disgusting.
BTW, could CBS's announcers make a football game any more boring?

CBS must be made to pay a price for approving this disgusting stunt....I am simply livid!
You are correct....no one had a chance to change the channel....our children & grandchildren were exposed to this obscenity without any warning....why was this done in prime time....on what has become a national event that families watch together?
There must be severe consequences for CBS & others who are involved!

he ripped off Jackson's top, exposing a bare breast -- the nipple covered by a tassel.,,, Michael will have his sister's breasts duplicated for himself by the end of the month. He's not the type to stop at just a nose.

My grandchildren didn't miss it!! And they LOVE sports, and have a blast watching sports with their parents.
That's what makes us sick. Not only do we not want our young guys to see this kind of thing, but our young women either! I know several of our young guys were watching for sure. Ages 12 through 10. (We have 18 grandchildren, and I know at least 4 were watching today with family and friends, so God knows how many kids were watching with them).

Check out the drudge picture -- she has the face of an old, used-up whore. God, what a load.
And thanks, CBS, for living up to your "oh so edgy - are we cool yet?", neurotic excess.

I'm guessing that Kid Rock's fans who saw him wearing an American flag will take a positive message from it- unlike some ninety-five year old hyper-traditionalist grouches who care more about rules than beliefs.

I sent the CBS address around to all my friends, so they can email if they wish. But from what I understand we need to contact the NFL.
To: kenth
NFL.com has a statement up already.
Statement by NFL Executive Vice President Joe Browne regarding the Super Bowl halftime show:
"We were extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-produced Halftime show. They were totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the show. It's unlikely that MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."
Only unlikely? Then I will unlikely watch any more NFL.

It shocked both of us, and we've seen a lot in our lives. If it was an "adults" only thing, I could see it. But we know our grandkids were watching today. No warning, no time to change the channel.

unfortunately, CBS is untouchable, as is the rest of the US major media.

CBS isn't untouchable. People just have to put their money where their mouths are and stop watching. Until they do, they only have themselves to blame for programming like this.
