Did anyone else see if Justin Timberlake pulled off Janet Jackson's top?

"Not to mention what they just did to the Superbowl "

This is not the first time they have been offensive along these lines. The superbowl has had a reputation for a long time of having risque, and beyond, ads. Don't you remember the beer commercial a year or 2 ago when some well endowed (by modern technology) chicks stripped down and got into a mud wrestling fight?

Big, silicone implants. Have you ever seen a dark colored balloon before it is blown up? It is SUPER dark, then gets lighter as you inflate it.

Good point! Very good point! Someone on this thread mentioned the *V Chip* and wondered if it could have prevented this from happening.

I don't know.

But I also know that CBS could have stopped it. They have a delay. And they CHOSE *not* to use it.

I hope the FCC does a quick investigation. This one shouldn't require a lot of footwork.

Well, thank you so much. I try to keep it informative and simple. Glad that you liked it.

It could have been worse. CBS could have shown this:

Am I wrong in my explaination behind those church Super Bowl parties?

I am not really sure. Ultimatley it would depend upon what is done with it. If it is used to spread the Gospel then fine but if it is used in a fleshly manner then I would not be in favor of it.

But seriously, how does her torso appear "Whiter" than her face??? Is that skin pigmentation condition that Michael supposedly suffers from common in the family, and is it uniform accross the body??

You know as well as I do that Michael doesn't have any 'skin pigmentation condition'. But the naivete of your question astounds me. My breasts and tummy are also lighter than my face, which is in the sun all the time, and I am white. Black people do ~tan~ you know. More readily than I do.

Interesting. Tonight's Access Hollywood showed an interview with Justin Timberlake immediately after his and Janet Jackson's performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. Before he knew he should call it an accident, he smiled happily and said "It was quick, slick, and to the point." Janet's brothers were cool, too. "That's Janet!" Oops, someone has a problem with this, er, it's an accident...wardrobe failure! Tonight Brokaw proclaimed it an accident. Is CBS out begging for aid from its competitors?

Evidently, the millions of Americans who have never seen a breast are out now roaming the streets, with unbridled lust oozing up to the surface! Lock your doors, hide your daughters! We just saw a breast with a pastie on it! Oh, the humanity!

Glad to see you gave the drug threads a break long enough to shed some light on public nudity on prime time televisions during family programing.

You never cease to amaze.

Detroit has never been in a Superbowl.

Neither have the Christians. Patience, it's coming.

He cut a hole in the middle of the flag and wore it like a poncho. How in the world is that not offensive?

How is that different from wearing it as a tie clip, or lapel pin, as I've seen at VFW gatherings?

The lyrics of the song being sung included something like "I'll have our clothes off before the end of this song." And they were writhing against each other during it, but a great hue and cry is raised over an instant's exposure of a mammary gland. What's wrong with this picture? MTV, viacom, and the NFL were apparently all hunky-dory about the writhing and the lyrics. Now, suddenly they are wringing their hands.

Be honest--would the heat in this thread exist were it not for the comparatively innocent little breast peep? Would the thread exist? Ever more spectacular continual bread and circuses apparently dims our wits and our sense of proportion beyond redemption.

Run a tie clip up a flag pole and salute and tell me how it goes.

Just got a phone call back from Dottie McCain, a member of an AOL Corporate Committee called 'Escalations'.

AOL should sue CBS for at least the entire value of their sponsorship contract (which I'm sure is in the tens of millions of dollars). Such a lawsuit would actually be good publicity for them, and would IMHO be justified on the basis that being associated with the "AOL High-speed halftime event" or whatever it was called would be damaging to AOL's attempts at earning a reputation as a "family friendly" on-line service (yes, AOL has some stuff that's not exactly family-friendly, but I understand that they provide filters free-of-charge).

That plus I would think such a lawsuit would be much more damaging to CBS/MTV than any find the FCC would hand down.
