I don't know why they think they can get away with this crap, and darn it, they DO get away with it most of the time. It's high time folks spoke up and made a fuss about prime time being used for explicit sexual actions. I'm personally sick of it.

No one's going to talk about the game????
That was one of the closest, most exciting Super Bowls in a LONG time.

It is not a pasty, it is a piercing, and the nipple itself is not covered. It used to be that the Superbowl was something that girls might not find interesting. But, now they can sit down with their Dads watch the game and get new fasion ideas too. Superbowl - There's something for the whole family.

"I love how people seem more intent on defending indency rather than demanding decency."
I wonder if those same people would still be defending it if Justin had torn off a flap of clothig to reveal Michael Jacksons scrotum? I bet not.

CALL THE NFL: Why? What did they have to do with it?? Were they the producers of the halftime show? Did they broadcast it?? This is on CBS....not the NFL.
To: mattdono
The FCC isn't happy about it either.

Drudge has a blowup of the boob, and you can definitely see the piercing. You can also see the SNAPS where the part that was "accidently ripped off" attached to the rest of the outfit... This was NOT an accident!

The NFL (or at least the comish) is apparently highly irritated:
"We were extremely disappointed by the MTV-produced halftime show. It was totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the content of the show.
"The show was offensive, inappropriate and embarrassing to us and our fans. We will change our policy, our people and our processes for managing the halftime entertainment in the future in order to deal far more effectively with the quality of this aspect of the Super Bowl."
Paul fears backlash, always has.

P.Diddy (stoner)-> Nelly (stoner)-> Justin Timberlake (stoner) -> Janet Jackson -> Kid Rock (major stoner) -> You can't forget about Willie Nelson.....he was in the Pre-game.

I guess one could view this website as a wordly pleasure as well. I think we all remove the stones from our hands... Well that may be true but I am not on this website during worship time.

but their love for Jesus is above all the most important thing in their livesWell if they are not passing out tracts and knocking on doors to invite people to Church and spread the gospel then they are ignoring the divine commision. And that is more important than abortion protests don't you think?

That was one of the closest, most exciting Super Bowls in a LONG timeI missed the half-time show. I went outside to throw a football with my brothers and my nephews.
Nevertheless, the football game was one of the best games ever. Started slowly, built to a crescendo, and ended up with a bang.
Thanks for the great game, Panthers and Patriots. And congratulations to the winners.
I have a humble suggestion for the South Carolina fans; don't vote for any of those stiff New Englanders running in the Democratic primary.

Don't you think that spreading the gospel is the most important aspect of Church life?
To: oceanview
maybe someone could start a "cancel your NFL Sunday Ticket" thread... Why?? What did that halftime show have to do with sports? How many other games all year do you see the halftime show...none. This is CBS's fault, not the NFL. Sunday Ticket is the best thing to happen to TV in a LONG TIME. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
To: ColdSteelTalon
Well that may be true but I am not on this website during worship time. No offense and I dont want to start a negative spiritual debate but shouldnt every moment of every day be worship time for God? Well, thats impossible as we are human. Since we aren't perfect, the Superbowl parties across the nations churches are a good way for fellowship with your brothers in Christ and to lead others to salvation. Sitting alone in a room and a Bible might work with you, but outreach and the growth of God's Kingdom is the reason at which these parties held.

"As you said - no real warning and no chance to change the channel or turn it off."
No real warning? How about the preceding three minutes of gyrating, ass-grabbing, mock sex activity and general skankiness? I was not in the least surprised it extended to breast-grabbing, and even exposure. If you truly wanted you and your children to "see no evil," you shouldn't have been watching the halftime show.
IMO, anyone who didn't turn the channel during halftime (I mean, the teasers gave plenty of warning as to what it would be like) deserved the "surprise" they got at the end.

According to 36 USC 10, Section 176, when wearing the United States Flag as a poncho, the Union of the flag should be over the wearer's right.
As you can see, Kid Rock has the flag with the Union over his left. I don't know who they have at the NFL keeping track of this stuff, but he really fell down on the job on this one...

The NFL hired MTV to do the halftime show, they knew what they were getting. Didn't CBS 'hire' MTV...since they are the same company. CBS and MTV along with Showtime, VH1, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures are all the same company.
CBS paid to get the Superbowl as part of a contract, I don't think the NFL was informed of this stunt.
