At James Madison High School, Vienna, VA, students heard a homosexual man, formerly married with children but now living with a homosexual lover, speak at a school assembly in March 2003 on the need for homosexuals to be able to adopt children.

Let me get this straight (pun intended). A man who abandoned his children by birth is a spokesqueer for adoption?????

OK, we really do need a reality check. This is still kindergarten, not the back alleys of Baghdad. (Which are safer that the back alleys of DC...) We don't have to go in like it's a battle zone, we just have to slowly change the culture so that the teachers of the future aren't brainwashed. It's a slow process, and I hope my daughter will be one who will stand up for her beliefs (even if they are not the same as mine) as opposed to running and hiding.

I agree with you fully, but she will be ill equipped to do that as a 5 year old. She will be well equipped to do that as an 18 year old. She may be well equipped before then.

In St. Paul, Minnesota, high school student Elliott Chambers was suspended for wearing a sweatshirt with the message “Straight Pride” and a drawing of a man and woman holding hands. He wore the shirt after witnessing the school’s heavy promotion of homosexuality, including the posting of numerous “safe zone” pink triangles in classrooms and offices throughout the school. The principal told Chambers and his parents they were “homophobes.” A U.S. District court ruled that Elliott could return to school and that his rights had been violated.

Also, just thinking aloud...

Could health become a 'wedge' issue to split the PC crowd and the apathetic mainstream from the homosexual activists? I believe a pretty clear case could be made that promiscuity has caused serious health problems.

If we promoted Abstinence and Monogamy more, doesn't that confront the homosexual agenda? As this article shows, much of the homosexual movement is tied to sexual abandon. Is there such a thing, for example, as platonic love between two gay men? Or any abstinence before a gay relationship?

BTW, promoting abstinence and monogamy will get a lot of hetero people back to healthier view of their own sexuality, and of what constitutes entertainment, appropriate public behavior, and a clear perspective on what is just deviant in the world around us.

If I had eating problems and felt bad at myself for it, I might get bothered by people talking about great meals and great restaurants. If I was crippled and felt bad about myself for it, I would resent people talking about the fun they had playing sports over the weekend.

If I felt bad about my sexuality or lack of relationships, I would resent people matter-of-factly talking about their healthy heterosexual relationships.
