Large Explosion (possible car bomb) in Baghdad
MSNBC

Posted on 01/17/2004 9:48:32 PM PST by saquin

MSNBC just had a special report w/ some raw video. Large explosion in central Baghdad that could be heard for miles. Near the gates of the CPA headquarters. No word on casualties. From the raw video, I saw several civilian cars damaged.

I've also reread everything I've posted on this just in case something really needs pulled. I don't think you've got anything to complain about.
I read all your posts too - no problems there. Glad you're OK and praying for all over there. FReepmail me if you need anything! ;-)

MEG, I am not surprised. We were so fortunate that the concrete barriers prevented mass casualties ~ what our enemies intended.

Did you see archy's pics of the SA-3 rockets our troops found this week (called an "IED" in the CJTF7 report)?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
May God bless ~ and continue to protect ~ our troops, civilian support workers, Coalition, and Iraqi allies.
My hunch is that the Iraqi citizens are feeling the same way about the cowards and will be more agressive in smoking them out.
I've been saying the same thing for months now; it is beginning to sound like nothing more than wishful thinking.
...but it is also one less car bomb and one less suicide murderer that will enter America. God bless the troops...
Indeed, you got it right there. Most likely if it was not for our troops we would be reading about a car bomb in America right now.
And it is not only America that is being blessed with relative peace, Israel bomb attacks are a fraction of what they were 6 months ago. I figure most of the Jihadi are shipping out to Iraq like they promised.
Again, Hats off guys, thanks for making me here and mine back home safer.
The grenade blasts caused no injuries but shattered months of relative calm in the Palestinian Ain el-Hilweh camp near Sidon. One grenade targeted an office of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction while the other hit a residential area.
If they blow each other up in their own camps, how the heck can they offer peace to anyone? The Pali's have been born and bred for bomb "operations". I truly believe that most of the recent Iraqi blasts are from the Pali camp set. That is why they don't give a rip if the Iraqi's die.
I just woke up an hour ago!Remember in the Situation room I said all spelling and grammar rules were suspended for the duration!I was relearning how to type,was a real newbie.
I think it took me an hour to type a paragraph!I am still amazed at some of the creative spelling that emerges from my typing,mistakes I would not make if writing in long hand!
