MSNBC just had a special report w/ some raw video. Large explosion in central Baghdad that could be heard for miles. Near the gates of the CPA headquarters. No word on casualties. From the raw video, I saw several civilian cars damaged.

FOX now covering.
Dana Lewis. "very large car bomb" at least 8 vehicles and minibus burnt out, hard to tell which was car w/ bomb. Outside main entrance to CPA compound. Many Iraqis would have been lining up outside at this time to work inside. Also US soldiers would have been standing guard. No word on injuries. 2 bridges nearby closed.
Outside Main north gate to Coalition compound.

blast outside assassin's gate, perimeter of security for coalition provisional authority area.
the size of the explosion is large, cars that are widely spaced apart are all on fire.

It was not NOT within green zone, it was at the north gate.
I heard it. I'm about 2km away and it was LOUD.

CNN has the best (bad choice of words)... make that "most comprehensive" video right now.

where are you?
it looks like multiple explosions spread across the same area.
To: saquin
the brits on CNN now saying "US troops are tired", instead of covering the incident, they are talking about that.

Stay safe and thanks for the first hand info. Prayers are with all you guys over there.

Must the video keep lingering on that one guy in the checkered shirt slumped on the curb who appears dead?

My concern is our guys dealing with shellshock from the constant explosions and not knowing where the next one will be.

I'm tuning out the Brits and just watching the video, while switching back and forth between CNN, FOX and MSNBC.
