Email/Letter writing campaign against The President's plan for immigration
Myself

Posted on 01/07/2004 7:45:17 PM PST by Remember_Salamis

Has anybody started an email/letter writing campaign in response to the president's proposed immigration initiative?

We need to show the president that he can't take advantage of his conservative base.

resent your accusations, and I resent your attacks

I just presented a political reality that you, not me, interpreted as an attack. The reality is that the "base" of 1988 is not the "base" of today. The GOP has become MUCH more moderate due to the far left lurch of the democrats. There are still a lot of conservatives but not the "conservatives" you are talking about. The "base" you keep invoking is a myth and the GOP knows it. Why should the GOP or Bush go off a cliff just because a bunch of unappeasables won't vote for them yet again? Your vote is easily replaced and has been replaced so rant all you want. It doesn't make a darned bit of difference.

Yep, Bush with 2 million popular vote spread and 320 electoral college win. Who the heck do you think you are scaring? LOL

Laugh-a while you can, monckey-boy!

First off, WTF gives you the idea that I'm trying to "scare" anyone? Methinks you're projecting.

Next, as I recall, the last time a wartime Bush was "unbeatable" at this point prior to the election, well, things did change a bit, now didn't they.

Finally, I'd rather have a Democrat in the White House, hamstrung by a Republican Congress, than a Republican who acts like a Democrat, and finds no resistance at all in Congress as he delivers stuff the Democrats could only dream of getting.

"there is a side of me that thinks this might be a political move by Bush"

FITZ, it's anything but a political move. It's a Homeland Security move, a humane and ballsy move, and it will turn out to be a beneficial, effective and ultimately successful move. For America and Americans physical, soverign and economic security.

You guys just can't figure Bush out. You're like DemRATS, only less fun.

Hi! I was at the shrine, the Frozen Tundra Sunday!

You cannot believe how cold it was when the Pack was down 20-13!

Here's a clue Joe, the "base" is NOT the narrowest point of the pyramid.

Hey, Luis, please get back with me when you're able to post a logical argument, rather than a series of ad hominems, OK?

Can you sit up and take nourishment?

On second thought, Don ... I'll bet people ARE talking about you.

Did you read what I just told Luis about ad homimens?

Well that goes double for you, Arnie.

Kinda sad to watch a grown man acting like that. Have you no shame, sir?

I think "Arne's 31 Step Superdooperpooper Program" is a more conservative plan, and I vote that we also join forces with Paul Simon, and make it "Luis's Eighty-one Step Ultrasuperdooperpooper Program-or-Eighty-one Ways To Run The Government", but maybe, the problem is all inside my head...

BS. You accused me of being a perotista, and more.

You don't take a shot at me like that and then back out of it with a simple denial.

An apology would be appropriate, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for one from you.

Your vote is easily replaced and has been replaced so rant all you want.

Then you've nothing to worry about, and YOU can stop ranting, eh?

I guess we'll see in November. If President Rove gets a second term, it'll be by an even slimmer margin than the last time, if that's even possible. Frankly, I expect him to lose, bigtime.

Questions, questions. First make him explain what a "monckey-boy" is.

Gee, I didn't realize that a sarcastic quote from Buckaroo Banzai, in reply to a series of very angry, bitter attacks, qualified in itself as an attack.

I tell you what, Tex. Just skip my posts if they upset ya so much, y'heah?

First make him explain what a "monckey-boy" is.

Oooh, "MAKE him"!

Has a nice ring to it, now doesn't it.

How do you propose to "make" him? Perhaps string him up, and teach him a good lesson he'll never forget?

Go fly a kite. And while you're at it, rent a copy of Buckaroo Banzai. Your cultural ignorance is showing.

Unbelievable game DaughtVet (you need a nickname). There's noplace like it, is there? The Pack is going to beat the Eagles Sunday!

It was my first game there this year (I saw the win over the Vikes at the Metrodome up here) ... what a beautiful refurbishment they did in the Atrium (that wasn't fully done last year). Perfect combo of the old and new.

I'll bet you were Ms. Popular up there in Seattle, eh?
