I just presented a political reality that you, not me, interpreted as an attack. The reality is that the "base" of 1988 is not the "base" of today. The GOP has become MUCH more moderate due to the far left lurch of the democrats. There are still a lot of conservatives but not the "conservatives" you are talking about. The "base" you keep invoking is a myth and the GOP knows it. Why should the GOP or Bush go off a cliff just because a bunch of unappeasables won't vote for them yet again? Your vote is easily replaced and has been replaced so rant all you want. It doesn't make a darned bit of difference.
BS. You accused me of being a perotista, and more.
You don't take a shot at me like that and then back out of it with a simple denial.
An apology would be appropriate, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for one from you.
Your vote is easily replaced and has been replaced so rant all you want.
Then you've nothing to worry about, and YOU can stop ranting, eh?
I guess we'll see in November. If President Rove gets a second term, it'll be by an even slimmer margin than the last time, if that's even possible. Frankly, I expect him to lose, bigtime.
Or you're forgetting that Bush didn't win by a a landslide --- maybe you forgot the recounts --- where ever vote did matter. Gore actually won the popular vote but Bush won the electoral votes --- but only by one state.
