I would personally like to thank everyone in our government who is fighting the war on terrorisim!! Thanks to all the DHS, DOD, FBI, CIA, local police, sheriff, national guard, and most of all our troops who are in harms way every day!! Merry Christmas, God speed!! We will never forget 9-11-01 and with the grace of God there will never be another large attack on our country.
A very special thank you and Merry Christmas to our President, Vice President and their families.

The last time the press reported something like this it was because they had monitored the amount of delivery pizza coming into the Pentagon.

Thank you and God Bless all at the Pentagon who are working to keep us safe. Thank you, too, to their families who must be without them on this Christmas day. And blessings to our President and Vice-President who have done a most excellent job. And, finally, and perhaps most importantly, God Bless our troops who are on the ground in the nether parts of the world - away from safety and their loved ones. God bless them all for their sacrifice and service.
Merry Christmas to all!

I'll join you in that thanks. We have all been thinking and praying for the warriors over seas in the military, but we frequently forget those quiet warriors here at home who keep us safe.
We thank them for their service and their sacrifice.
To: WestCoastGal
Indeed, blessings to everyone actively fighting this war on this Christmas Day.

Words just cannot express the thanks I feel for the troops. Not just for their sacrifices on Christmas Day, but for the whole year 'round. A mere thanks, just isnt enough. God bless them all.

A thank you isn't even close to what I feel for those of you who stand watch over this nation so that we can go about our lives. You are truly among the great heroes of this nation.

There is a saying I have heard before - not sure that I have it right....but:
Remember as you go to sleep each night, that you can sleep peacefully only because rough men stand ready to meet the enemy.
My thanks to the US military and our civilian leaders for keeping us safe for another year. As always, we'll need you again next year.

I cannot tell you how lonely it feels to be the junior single officer and be given holiday Staff Officer "Duty." It doesn't matter if it's Battalion, Brigade or Division SDO, it sucks. Thge place is empty and either most folks are on leave or home with family. And here you are, either strolling the Brigade area or the Division Headquarters with the knowledge that your sole responsibility (aside form security, for which you have your trusty .45) is to take the WAR ALERT PHONE CALL and then wake everybody up by screaming "BANG!!! into the cold winter darkness. ~sigh~
