In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.
Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."
Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."
She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."
Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.
"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."
Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.
"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."
The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.
"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

WILL THE CLINTON CURSE NEVER GO AWAY?
Bookmark Bump. This one is going to take a while. I am ashamed my home State sold its soul to this succubus. This is reason enough to ensure recall gets on the next ballot in NY.

Rush is doing what EVERY Major TV and Cable Network refused to do. He's informing America about hitlery's statements about our troops. CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, and FOX News. SHAME ON YOU for not telling the truth. Excellent! I missed Rush today but was hoping he'd get it out there. Hope this will gather more steam during the week.

"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States" Yeah, back in the good ol' days when the law actually meant something. Now it seems to be just another antiquated law that doesn't apply to democRATs.

GREAT MOMENTS IN ORATORY:
Winston Churchill: "We shall fight them on the beaches, we shall fight them in the streets, we shall fight them in the hills. We shall never surrender."
Franklin Roosevelt: "With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounding determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God."
Hillary Clinton: "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."

I could not agree to these comments more. They are all understated, due to the fact that none of us wants to be banished forever. But, the upside is that, since the tide of power has turned, what with Bush taking the WH & the success of the midterms, the seething, putrid underbelly of the beast is being shown. It cannot stay in the dark & fester anymore. Evil has been outed...Now,let's stay the course, increase our numbers, and continue to laugh heartily at the haplessness of leftist cretins who continue to shoot themselves in the foot!!!!!!

That accurately sums up the decline of statesmanship in the last 60 years.

Got the final option that I was able to investigate.
I did searches until laaaaatttttteeee last night looking for law and ethics about NY Senators. Not much online that I could find.
Anyway, this was the last of my questions to my judge/military friend. If any of you can think of more, I'll gladly shoot them over:
>>>
(snip) for Congress to censure her is a very brazen act. She looses all congressional support for any of her programs. She, therefore, becomes an ineffective congressional(Senate) representative for the state of New York. Now, the people of the state of New York can start a petition of recall on Hillary to oust her just like California did to their Governor. Most likely what will happen is that Hillary will run for President of the U.S., lose and not be able to regain her senate seat in NY, then become a past politian. The whole nation is now finding out what we Okies and Texacans have known for generations. (snip so Admin Mod doesn't delete)

I can only add administrative support for a recall campaign. Do the NY Freepers want to do this? I am willing to help with brochures, database maintenance, websites....
Only thing I can personally do is more emails, snail letters and phone calls.

There is a problem with recall in NY: there is, now, NO LAW which allows for it. The constitution of NY has no provision, YET, for recall of elected officials. I posted earlier on the thread what the PROPOSED law will be. However,it appears that that proposed amendment to the constitution CANNOT take effect until 2 new legislatures have been elected (this is as of 5/2003), and then it must be put before the voters.....I doubt this can then occur before 2006 or 2008....
To: Calpernia; nicmarlo
I thought you were going to torture me with more of this idiots treasonous acts with her mouth but once I read your post it perked me up..
Then nicmarlo popped my happy baloon with (there is, now, NO LAW which allows for it). Well that doesn't suprise me in the least.
NY State is a safe haven for our corrupt politicans, just look at what is happening with the gambling. Not to get off subject but, when there was an opportunity for privatley run casino's the first year it passed the second year it was defeated.
Joe Bruno did not want in his district so it went down to defeat the second session of the legislature.
I am against casinos but now we are stuck with the Indian run gaming. If we had to have them, I would rather them be privately owned.
Nicmarlo, where are you in state? I am in Buffalo.

What happened to the great animation of Hillary chomping like a hog? Please tell me you saved it. I see the pics, but no animation. I didn't save it when I was at my dad's. Or maybe I was just looking in the wrong posts.
