HE has his facts backward ..what he is talking about is Oswald being seen by pocile drinking a Coke next to the Coke machine on the second floor of the Book Depository when they entered the building.

To Do this he would have had to take the final shot, run across the entire 6th floor, stash the rifle, run down 4 flights of stairs, cross the entire 2nd floor to the coke machine, and purchase a coke in less than a minute. The Cops also stated he did not appear agitated or out of breath.

The question then becomes, was that possible or did the cop just not notice anything out of the ordinary. I make no claim either way, as I do not know 1. Oswalds physical description or 2. the mental state of a cop who was rushing into a building where they thought a gunman had just shot the President of the United States.

If one doesn't accept the Warren Report, that would mean that you believe that there was a government cover-up, and after all, as Chief Justice, Earl Warren would certainly qualify as part of the government. So if there was a cover-up by the US government, then you would have to ask who would they cover-up for? The Mafia? The Soviets? The Cubans? None of these seem likely. For example, if the Mafia, then the government would pursue them even more vigorously. That leaves us with an agency of the government: the CIA, the FBI, or the executive branch itself. Now add to the possible culpability of the executive branch that the CIA and the FBI are part of the executive branch. Scary thought that we may have had a coup d'etat.

What are you talking about?

It was a parody of the usual conspiracy claim that oswald could not have fired the shots and then ran down six flights of stairs, buy a coke, and then not seem out of breath by his boss and a police officer who saw him on the second floor.

(after all--Clay Shaw did turn out to work for the CIA--according to former Deputy Director for Covert Ops Richard Helms).

And this connects him to Oswald other than they used to live in the same city, how?

I agree. In fact, I believe I saw a piece about that just last night. But I've never made any claims either way. I just posted an article about a man who was said to look enough like Oswald to supply Oswald with an alibi. If you read the "more" at the bottom of the post you'll know that story was debunked when the man in the doorway was identified.

My own opinion is the CIA was involved. There's obviously more to the story and who else could have done such a good job covering it up?

I disgaree on the Cubans and the Soviets. If the American public found out that the Soviet Union or Cuba has just assasinated their president they would demand one thing - War. That war could have been the end of everything. Perhaps some pragmantic leaders in our governemnt looked at the situation and decided it was better to let the commies slide and play hardball under the table than start World War III. For that same reason though, I don't think the Soviets would have tried it. Kruschev was a calculated man who didn't want to blow up the world. After the Cuban Missile Crisis I doubt he would he go anywhere near a "poke the hornets nest" idea like killing Kennedy.  You could almost comapre the scenario to Clinton and the first WTC / Khobar Towers bombings. You know who did it but you don't want to tell the world because then you'd have to do something about it.

Yeah, it sure would be scary to be him. Except for the hair, eyes, narrow face, the ears and the nose it's a frightenly close resemblance.
