He's about to show Clark getting angry this morning with Asman.

Have read this web site for a long time and found interesting conversations and saw FR mentioned a couple of times in different places (with signs)and finally registered - long family military history and very defensive and supportive of all military - no, Clark is not my man - please note mention of all the military who attempt to run for office. No, military people are not saints. I do not know any saints - the military is a very rough life and anytime I see horrible things about military people, I try to check them out and usually get defensive or try to prove my point - they're many, many stories about all of them and most conflicting. Most posts on this site are so proud of our military as am I.

General Clark is held in contempt on this site precisely because he did NOT stick up for the troops, as well as for his involvement in WACO and his weasely actions in Kosovo.

You should know that this site is very supportive of the military. However, when a bad apple appears, such s Clark, he is not going to get a rubber stamp simply because he served.

When we can all wave our flags and have nice little parades but none of them are good enough to run for office.

None of them are good enough to run for office? Then please explain why every single president since the end of WWII has served in the US military (except for Clinton, of course).

The military is just like any other organization; they draw on the same resource pool as corporations and other entities. Benedict Arnold and Adolf Hitler were great "patriots" and "military men" as well. I'm not going to blindly follow some idiot off a cliff because he won some medals at one time in his life (of course in Kerry's case, he threw his away, so don't know if that counts).

Yeah, if you want to catch it on re-run, it is in the last 20 minutes of the show, while the panel is on.

You neither proved your point nor read the information provided you on this thread with links to additional resources.

Clark is in opposition to our CIC. You won't side with both of them. If you defend clark, you oppose the President we have now.

I suggest you check some of the info posted in html links by South40 and hobson on this thread, and read up on Clark before defending him. Defend the military, yes. But defend this individual? No. He is NOT speaking on behalf of the military. Do you understand that?

I suppose you also defend Timothy McVeigh, since he served also.

Maybe you would be better received over at DemocraticUnderwear.com or libertypost.com

BTW, why is it other great military men like Schwarzkoff and Franks (and about 90% of the U.S. Army) can't stand Clark? Let me guess: because he thinks "out of the box"? LOL.

Are you writing about Clark, or your own experiences? Because it's not really a good thing to juxtapose your own experiences with candidates running for high office.

General "NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME" Clark is a PRIME example of the Peter Principle. With all due respect for his service in Vietnam he obviously attained his 4 stars as a ass-kisseing yes man and backstabber, who reached his level of incompetence at the rank of Major. With apologies to all MAJORS everywhere.

Yeah, that's it... Captain Queeg, look at his hands next time--I think I see marbles.

Seriously though, I was just a tiny bit disappointed that he didn't jump up and down and scream. He wasn't as hysterical as I'd hoped from reading earlier threads.

He was, however, unprofessional and not in good control. Reminded me of Teddy screaming at Hannity, "Don't YOU interrupt ME!" (you little worm -- I'm holy, didn't they tell you that?)

I don't think we need to worry about Wes... he jumped the shark as soon as people got to know him a little better.

He had his best moments as a commentator on the cable news channels before/during the war. Then he was treated with great respect and not asked any embarrassing questions.

The guy's an idiot. But then what else would a Rhodes Scholar from Arkansas be?

Rhodes Scholars are selected by state, right? Which would mean that being one from Arkansas isn't nearly as prestigious as being one from New York or California, because you were competing against far fewer people for the "honor".
