Hah! Southern gentleman, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R.Ga), just nailed Boxer to the floor with her own words. Love this guy. I swear I saw him in "Gone With the Wind".

I have stood corrected. However, the committee's have voted a 'no' recomendation for things such as smoking pot while in college and not paying social security tax for cleaning ladies.
I'm not sure if that's what the framer's had in mind. In fact, the not paying taxes probably would have been considered a positive!

The dims do so with such a straight face, and with confidence, like their lie will fly. The dims are consumment liars, and should be definition 1 under hypocrite, in Webster's.
To: Mo1
Yep, they sure did.
And it's NOT about a litmus test. Just keep telling yourself that.

Have you heard Frist talk about this? The Republicans don't have all of the options people seem to think that they do. For every single option I have seen discussed here he had an explanation of the likely futility. Yes, they have staged this for national publicity and from what I have read they have orchestrated it quite well. They are looking to make the Dems either cave or pay at the polls.

What an UNBELIEVABLE question to ask

The more the merrier! Everyone should call them and ask the GOPpers to keep harping on two things:
1) The list of quotes that are being read now showing comments that Dems made, on the record, about up-or-down votes on judges before they were the ones who decided to use the tactic.
2) Talking about and analyzing the Dem Intel Committee Memo; reading Zell Miller's quotes; demanding that those responsible step forward!
The dems are a) blocking justice and b) endangering the American people for political gain! Shame!

Plus Lindsey Graham just drawled a powerful point.
Ah declare, ah think I'll have some grits with my eggs tomorrow.

"FOFL ... I love how they keep saying how they have great respect for Chuckie .. and then rip him apart "
When senators preface their comments by saying, "the distinguished senator from.... " its the equivalent of saying, Bless her heart..... LOL

I called the Republican CloakRoom and told them to keep up the great job. I tried to call the Democrat CloakRoom which is no longer in service. I also tried to call the recording line and was never given the opportunity to leave a message. Typical Democrat Politians yelling I can hear you while there fingers are in their ears and their eyes are shut!!!
To: Howlin
I wonder if there is a list of questions somewhere of what the Dems asked these Judges
I have to admit .. I am stunded over that question

You and I both know that NO SENATOR will ever face a federal charge, they might get expelled or sanctioned, but both sides of the isle consider themselves above the law. Especially in the Senate.
As much as I support the Republican Party and what we stand for, I'm not fooled by these career politicians who give up multi-million dollar jobs to get elected to the Senate. We might have the best form of Government, but it's far from perfect and I respect very few of these career politicians. Most of these guys are bought and paid for, and I respect those in Congress who speak their minds regardless of who they might rub the wrong way.
