I guess I am not a die hard fan of any team anymore. I used to love to watch the A's back when they had Catfish and Rollie, and the entire team was fun to watch. Then the Mets of the 80's. But I do like Pettite of the Yanks. He's cool.

Buck is slightly more tolerable than McCarver...slightly...
You're right, it would be great to have an alternative.

Is it on FX as well?

The Yankees are a good defensive team, but Oakland's pitching stats in the regular season were far better than the Yankees (allowed about 200 more hits). I'd expected the low production in the divisional series, but thought we'd fare better against the Yankees pitching staff. We did set the record for slugging percentage-- where the hell is that team now?

But I do like Pettite of the Yanks. He's cool. Man, when the Sox put 7 of their first 10 or so on base against him, I really thought they had a shot to beat him. But he soon settled down, as he usually does. I think he's now 6-1 in ALCS games.

Just checked NEXRAD.
Looks like light rain on the way, slightly heavier stuff about 2 hours away.
It will be important to score early in this game.

Pedro Martinez is a first-class punk. He should have been thrown out of the game. Twice. It seems to me that Pedro had the best teacher, Roger Clemens.

Gamecast isn't listening, it's a graphic "real time" summary, actually pretty cool when it's on time, I really like it for hockey because they show where all the shots came from and you can get a great feel for the game. Don't know if the internet radio link is live or delayed.

Pedro is just pissed that he's not the player he was four years ago. He needs a therapist.

Jeff Weaver went a long way to bringing up the Yankees' ERA. His ERA was around 6.

Just talked to my Mom in Chicagoland....seems to be raining there. Rain has stopped and clearing begun in NW burbs. Dry by game time tonite. Perfect fall baseball weather ... temps dropping thru the 40s ... NW wind 15-20 (from LF corner toward RF corner). Hopefully the floridians will chill and choke.

I don't know who has a webcast.. mlb.com has one but you have to pay.
I'd do a search the NY and Boston local news stations that carry ball games. They usually stream the games on their Internet sites.

I'd expected the low production in the divisional series, but thought we'd fare better against the Yankees pitching staff. We did set the record for slugging percentage-- where the hell is that team now? Zogby just released a poll for today's game showing the Red Sox would bat .458 as a team.
The good news is that Dick Morris just predicted a Yankees win! :-)

It seems to me that Pedro had the best teacher, Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens came away from that game looking like a true professional. (And that's not always easy to say about him.)
