But I do like Pettite of the Yanks. He's cool. Man, when the Sox put 7 of their first 10 or so on base against him, I really thought they had a shot to beat him. But he soon settled down, as he usually does. I think he's now 6-1 in ALCS games.

I listened to him talk on a James Robinson program earlier this year. The guy really is sincere and humble. He says he doesn't mean to come across as stiff on the mound, but he gets nervous so he has to really concentrate to block out the noise, etc. He was asked about Clemens pitching inside, and he declined to answer! LOL. But he said he and Roger have become good friends and Roger has mellowed and matured over the years.
