I mean, this is not hard
The Democratic mayor of Charlottesville, Va., Michael Signer, is pinning blame directly on President Trump for the white nationalist protest and related violence that occurred in his city this weekend.
The blame for these events, he said, falls "right at the doorstep of the White House and the people around the president."
On Sunday he appeared on CNN's State of the Union and accused Trump of intentionally courting white nationalists. Here's a transcript:
TAPPER: You said you place blame for these terrifying events -- quote -- "right at the doorstep of the White House and the people around the president" -- unquote.
That is a -- that is a very strong charge to level. Why do you think the president himself bears responsibility?
SIGNER: Well, look at the campaign he ran. I mean, look at the intentional courting, both on the one hand of all these white supremacists, white nationalists, a group like that, anti-Semitic groups, and then look on the other hand the repeated failure to step up, condemn, denounce, silence, you know, put to bed all those different efforts, just like we saw yesterday.
I mean, this is not hard. There's -- you know, there's two words that need to be said over and over again, domestic terrorism and white supremacy. That is exactly what we saw on display this weekend.
And we just aren't seeing leadership from the White House. We certainly are going to see leadership from cities like Charlottesville, from mayors, from leaders all around the country left and right.
Republicans and Democrats, if there is an issue that can unite this country, that this can be a turning point for this democracy, I think it just happened right now this weekend in Charlottesville.
You know, I -- to be honest, it doesn't matter much to me whether -- he's already on the sidelines, I think, of so many issues. But the country is going to move ahead. This will be a turning point for the country to overcome this stuff, just like we have overcome these challenges in our past. And I think it's happening right now, as we speak.
“The white nationalists were set up by Punk McAuliffe and the city of Charlottesville.”
The Fake News Media Created Charlottesville, and Will Create More in the Future

What happened in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday should surprise no one. This was an inevitable outcome of this countrys lack of anything resembling an independent national news media. If anything, its surprising it took this long for such a tragedy to happen.
For two years now, leftist agitators funded by George Soros-supported groups have been violently assaulting supporters of Donald Trump without a single word of objection or condemnation from any leader of the Democratic Party. Not a word.
Worse, none of these leaders have been asked by anyone with any major national news outlet why they stand silently by as supporters of their political party engage in increasingly vile and violent protest actions.
Not a single Democrat politician has been questioned by any journalist why they not only refuse to condemn such actions, but tacitly endorse them by proclaiming themselves to be participants in the resistance.
Not a single journalist has asked any Democrat why they refuse to even condemn the rise of a neo-fascist group that calls itself Antifa, and which pays masked thugs to burn buildings, attack law enforcement officers and beat up anyone who disagrees with them.

Charlottesville is a Democrat controlled city, but unions have nothing to do with it. The University of Virginia does.
And if you watch the video, you can clearly hear the leftist “organizers” herding marchers back towards the intersection where the car was.
So does drudge it would seem.
Move on
I don't think they had anything to do with it.
Look at what Hillary’s supporters did after Trump was elected.
The legal protesters ad their permit, and met at the park, and the police told them to move out of the park to where the Antifa brown shirts were, and then stood down.
Zuckerberg could not be elected dog catcher in his own town. He is hated by so many Americans because of his arrogant attitude. He buys up the properties surrounding his home in order to gain his privacy but he does not want The Wall so that the rest of America can maintain its security. Reminds me of the Pope with his wall around the Vatican who keeps preaching against building a wall here.
The ACLU plans to sue the city of Charlottesville after the city tried to stop the #UniteTheRight rally - and Leftists are absolutely livid.

It’s sick and absurd, comparing a southern flag to a NAZI flag.
Oh, sure, if you operated in Digital land of 1s and 0s, but in Analog land of reality, there are varying gradations and judgement calls might show it’s not nearly as bad as made out.
Not exactly correct. There were numerous altercations between the two groups before the rally was cancelled.
The problems occurred because of the way the two crowds were allowed to assemble AND because the police did not provide adequate security.
Just STFU.
Or the wall/fence around just about every politician’s home.
In public theyre the black mans friend. In private forget it!

What was that line from ‘In the Heat of the Night’ ??(TV I think)
In the North they don’t care how big you get, just don’t get too close.
In the South they don’t care how close we get, just don’t get too big.
Hope you brought more than just your dumbass self, there, buckaroo.
The ANTIFA Brownshirts showed up Without a Permit and began to Protest ILLEGALLY. Correct??
An excellent point.
Agree with all of your #61
NEVER let them forget that it was a FAR LEFT lunatic liberal who did the shooting. That should be repeated EVERY time we get the chance.
Nationalist is only a grievous sin in the eyes of open-borders, global socialists who favor the collective (human anthill) rather than the individual; androgyny (transgender) rather then man and woman; a global bank rather than individual savings, Big Brother owned property and resources rather than individually owned and managed property, etc.
