BREAKING: Romney’s campaign finance accounts reactivated for 2016 race
Christian News ^ | March 3, 2016

Posted on 03/06/2016 6:04:43 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

New information is surfacing about Mitt Romney and his 2016 plans following the 2012 presidential candidate's nationally-covered speech on Thursday morning.

The former Mass. Governor and Republican nominee for President spoke out against Donald Trump, calling the Republican front-runner a "phony" and "fraud." He urged Republicans to unite behind another candidate, yet declined to indicate which candidate he would be supporting.

An in-depth look at Romney's campaign finance activity, however, shows that the former candidate may be gearing up to take another shot at the White House.

In late January and early February of 2016, Romney's campaign finance entities, which by law are subject to FEC regulations, were both reactivated with amended campaign statements.

FEC records indicate that Romney's former campaign committee, Romney for President, and Romney's affiliated PAC, Romney Victory Fund, were both reactivated earlier this year, making them legally able to solicit donations and organize for his presidential campaign.

The above FEC documents can be found on the FEC websites here and here.

The Christian Times Newspaper spoke with several campaign finance professionals and campaign finance attorneys to further understand this move.

One told us that Romney "would only be making these changes" if he in fact "was going to run for President in 2016."

Another, a former McCain finance staffer indicated that this evidence shows "without a doubt" that Romney has plans to run as a Republican this year.

In the days and weeks following Romney's Trump-bashing, it will be interesting to see whether or not the 2012 candidate makes any further moves to run in 2016.

//Someone needs to ask Glenn Beck about this: because Cruz, or Mormon?/

Mormon. “The Church” always, always comes first.

Im more convinced now than at any time recently that the presidency is gonna be handed to hitlery.

Hillary being elected would signify that the great experiment of American democratically-elected republicanism has at long last been proven to be a monstrous failure.

And that there could be no possible denying of that.

So... what would happen then? What would that mean to the world beyond our borders? What might it incite?

In more ways than can be counted, we are peering perilously close into a dark, dark place.

Trump needs to encourage collecting money from we the people. He SHOULD encourage small donations from We the People.

And if someone wants to start a Super Pac for him, he should be okay with it, unless they do something which does not represent who he is.

HIs opponent are using this against him and no one in the media is taking about it. Trump is too smart now that the RNC Mob family has removed their masks to not encourage donations. In fact, his opponents see this as their biggest advantage against Trump but never talk about it. Trump will usually say one line about self funding and it goes in one ear and out the other for viewers, meanwhile his opponents are smirking to each other saying Trump is stupid to not seek contributions.

This election is too important. Trump had no idea once he started leading with actual votes that the Republicans would go after him. He thought if they made him sign a pledge, they of course would also agree to the same pledge on their side if he was in the lead. But that is not what is happening. He needs money for a ground game AND for more ads. NOW Collect the money Trump and use it to push back against the lies 24/7.

That would never happen.

Why, have the CRuz supporters already signed on to attend them? Since the combining of the Jeb/Cruz finance team?

No Super Pacs, no donations except to his official website. Several have been started to take money from donors and then funnel the money elsewhere. Do not donate to anyone other than his official site.

That is fine, but Trump needs to promote it. Starting now.

He needs to run more ads. Currently, all the ads on TV and Radio are again him. That needs to change starting next week.

I believe it’s too late for third party. The brilliance of Trump’s campaign is that it is a 3rd party INSIDE the GOP. The only option left is for conservatives led by Trump to beat the GOP and we need all hands on deck. United we stand, divided we fall.

I don’t think Trump can battle it out for the nomination for a few more months and then get on the ballot in 50 states. It will be too late.

Cruz was saying these things before Romney opened his yap.
it’s a campaign. He’s competing with Trump for the nomination.

Duh.

No. With Cruz it’s supposed to be a “principled conservative” campaign. That Cruz is down in the mud with MITT ROMNEY should be very disturbing to any conservative supporter of Cruz. FRegards.

Yes, I just suggested that to him on FB. We, his supporters, can provide him with millions in small donations.
