Trump, Kasich Get a Bump in Latest South Carolina Poll

If the Republican establishment wants to slow Donald Trumps momentum, it has its work cut out for it in South Carolina. The first poll there since Trumps dominant performance in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary on Monday shows that he has extended his lead in the Palmetto State ahead of its primary scheduled for Feb. 20.

The poll, conducted on behalf of the Augusta Chronicle, Fox News 5 Atlanta and Morris News Service, showed Trump with 36.3 percent support among likely voters in the GOP primary, up from 32 percent that last time the poll was in the field a month ago.

Trumps gain did not come at the expense of his nearest rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who took 19.6 percent, up from 18 percent in January. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio also gained, going from 11 percent to 14.6.

The biggest winner, though, was Ohio Gov. John Kasich. After a strong second place showing in New Hampshire, the poll found that his support in South Carolina had tripled, from 3 percent to 9 percent.

Following relatively weak performances in Iowa and New Hampshire, Bush is looking to rebound in South Carolina, but the poll suggests his momentum has been blunted, showing his support falling to 10.9 percent. [Down 2 percentage points]

How much money per vote will Bush be spending in South Carolina.

Kasich worked for Lehman Bros, the Wall Street outfit which ignited the last financial meltdown. In Ohio Kasich got lucky, because of successful fracking business. And he is 99% pro-amnesty.

But he is still 1 shade better than Hillary and Bernie.

Trump is on a roll. Above it all, with the loser candidates fighting each other for the crumbs of 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. Must be frustrating for their dejected followers.

Go Trump. Make America Great Again.

Kasich seems like a nice fellow.

He’d make a great president if the world was at peace and our freedoms were not under assault and our pocketbook was in great shape.

But the world is not at peace, our freedoms are under daily assault and we are totally bankrupt :-(

Thus we need a bulldozer as president... and Trump is a D10 Cat!

Agreed in whole.

Here is an interesting post by a reader of Dallas Morning News commenting of Kasich endorsement...and why I think Trump will win big in general.

I am a liberal democrat, have always been one and will continue to be one. However, after a news article I saw today about Carrier air-conditioning manufacturer moving its plant to Mexico and displacing 1400 workers, I am going to roll the dice. One of Trump’s main campaign lines is how we are losing our jobs to Mexico and China. I am willing to take the chance that he means what he says and I am voting for Trump. I don’t think anyone else will do a damn thing about the trade imbalance.

Yeah, but he doesn't go into any of the details about how he ran his route.

Yup, he will ride into the white-house borne on the shoulders of disgruntled democrats and independents. They have been lied to for decades and are seething with righteous anger.

The Reagan democrats x10.
