It appears that the bromance between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump is probably over for good. I mean, it was one thing to see Donald Trump openly attacking Cruz for days on end. We've seen that before, and never before had Cruz taken the bait. It appears that this method of dealing with Trump has finally reached its end in the Cruz campaign.
(CRUZ): >>>I will say that it's more than a little strange to see Donald relying on as authoritative a liberal, left-wing, judicial activist Harvard Law professor who is a huge Hillary supporter (Ed. note - Laurence Tribe). It starts to make you think, "Gosh, why are some of Hillary's strongest supporters backing Trump?" You know, the last couple of elections the Democrats have gotten the nominee they wanted to run against in the general election. It seems the Hillary folks are very eager to support Donald Trump and the attacks that are being tossed my direction.<<<
Welcome to the party, Ted Cruz. Better late than never to call Trump what he is.
I, for one, am glad that the prominent conservative personalities who have been pretending Trump is a conservative and talking about him positively to bolster their ratings, will finally have to choose between their wallet and their ideology (and credibility) in this battle between Trump and Cruz. It's been a long time coming.
Donald Trump was an outspoken liberal on most issues until he sought the GOP nomination for President. That is a fact no matter how much you dislike it. Watching his supporters hypocritically bash Cruz for “changing his position” is amusing.
Then there’s this:
Nov 2012:
......Romney’s solution of “self deportation” for illegal aliens made no sense and suggested that Republicans do not care about Hispanics in general, Trump says.
“He had a crazy policy of self deportation which was maniacal,” Trump says. “It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote,” Trump notes. “He lost the Asian vote. He lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country.”
The GOP has to develop a comprehensive policy “to take care of this incredible problem that we have with respect to immigration, with respect to people wanting to be wonderful productive citizens of this country,” Trump says.

Actually, no. I'm surprised I haven't.
When I look at a Free Republic post, I scan a couple things. First, the headline these days are usually a joke and don't match what's in the story or what actually happened. Second, I check the poster and the source of the article. It's pretty easy these days to say that ANY article has a slant to it. If it's a puff piece on Cruz or Trump, it's likely not worthy of reading. If it's an attack on Trump or Cruz, typically the attack is taken out of context or just plain wrong.
Frankly, the best part of Free Republic has been the comments on the post as that is where the smart comments come from.
For some reason, the Trump/Cruz battle has not brought out the best among us. I've been guilty of that as well and am attempting to avoid the attacks.
Oh happy day! Cruz is going to finish him off now with truth against Alinsky-type, fake conservative, whiny baby, knows not much imposter.
Trumpees hearts will be broken.
It’s accurate. you just don’t like the truth when it conflicts with your narrative.
Keep in mind, I stopped taking you seriously as a rational human being about 6 months ago. The camp you live in, it exists only in your fevered mind!
http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2011/02/donald-trumps-donations-to-democrats/
Feb 2011:
“.............However, of the nearly $420,000 Trump has donated to committees, the largest recipient has been the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee with $116,000 - or more than one fourth of his total contributions to all party and political action committees.”
Conveniently overlooked in that 20% of Democrats say they will vote for Trump is the 16% of Republicans who say theyâll vote for Hillary before theyâll vote for Trump.
sounds like a 4% win for Trump, probably higher because more people identify as democrat. 4% is what wins an election.
Cruz will get zero democrat votes and lose by 10.... IMHO
That was a good response by Cruz and dead on.
It wasn’t nasty but it was a good question not only about Trump’s reliance on a notorious liberal but about his liberal connections in general.
I don’t consider this declaring war but a gentlemanly defense against an odd and crude campaign by Trump.
You see no flaws in Trump?

Which you've said for the third time in a row, but you can't really respond to much of what I say. I am not sure why you think repeating yourself will help you. Did you ever hear the definition for insanity?
Awww - did they out you your widdle buffoon/
Ping.
The original Constitution provides no definition for Natural Born, which implies that anyone who isn’t naturalized at some later point is natural born. In 1790, in full view of the Founding Fathers, they defined natural born. Keep in mind, they only DEFINED what was already understood to be natural born, the law was designed to create that definition. You have no other evidence that the Founding Fathers mean something else, do you?
“Ted Cruz Just Unloaded on Donald Trump”
It is amazing how the media can take a comment and turn it into “Cruz Unloaded on Trump”. I heard him say what he said and it was said in a moderate way, not attacking Trump. No anger, no attacking mode, just explaining the way he sees it and it was more about Democrats than Trump.
I suppose on the evening news, the various channels will have Cruz slitting Trump’s throat. I’m sure that is why Cruz has said little about it - he knew this would happen if he addressed it in any way.

hahahaha ... he’ll be a great addition. Fortunately, he’s old.
More from Trump:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/dec/30/donald-trump-best-my-knowledge-not-too-many-evange/
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said this week in Iowa that there aren’t many evangelical Christians who hail from Cuba.
“Just remember this - you gotta remember, in all fairness, to the best of my knowledge, not too many evangelicals come out of Cuba, okay?” Mr. Trump said at a campaign event Tuesday. “Just remember that...just remember.”...
Yes, agreed 100%. Trump is not a conservative. Perhaps the Freepers supporting Trump should be posting on MSNBC’s blogs.
