This interview is amazing.
As the Bernie Sanders campaign surges, the socialist senator continues to bring the national conversation back from the right after 30 years of bellicose class war rhetoric.
In the clip below, he shames those (including Jeb Bush) who would cut taxes for the rich while stripping Social Security. Sanders states clearly that every other industrialized country invests in their own citizens and children and its high time that we followed suit.
While Sanders is heavily-criticized for identifying as a democratic socialist, he embraces the label. Sanders says countries that abide by the principles of democratic socialism, like Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, often lead the world in healthcare, education, and strength of the middle class.
Moreover, Sanders is striking a chord with the majority of Americans according to Pew Research, 77 percent of Americans believe too much power is concentrated in the hands of the rich and the wealthiest corporations. 91 percent of Democrats agreed with that statement, along with 80 percent of independents. Even 53 percent of Republicans agreed that the wealthy have too much power in todays America.
Sanders remains unwavering in his commitment to establishing education and health care as a basic human right, not a luxury only available to the privileged. He maintains his plan could be easily funded by requiring the wealthy and the largest corporations to pay much higher taxes. He justifies this by pointing out that the wealthiest 400 Americans control more wealth than the poorest 150 million Americans, combined. And since 2009 the official end of the recession 95 percent of all income gains went to the top 1 percent.
As Bernie Sanders poll numbers continue to increase, and as he gets more opportunities to communicate his message on mainstream networks, sanity may be slowly returning to our media and the ongoing dialogue about class in America. Watch the clip below and tell us if you agree.

I want a free Mercedes too... and free beer for life. Oh, and all the chocolate I can eat.
So I have a human right to have my own personal physician?
These jobs pay $100 grand a year if you are willing to work. We don't need 4,000,000 ethnic history graduates every year added to the workforce, who's only job path is in government work harassing the people who work for a living.
Note that Sen. Sanders shares Thomas Jeffersons vision of free education.
The great mass of the articles on which impost is paid is foreign luxuries, purchased by those only who are rich enough to afford themselves the use of them. Their patriotism would certainly prefer its continuance and application to the great purposes of the public education, roads, rivers, canals, and such other objects of public improvement as it may be thought proper to add to the constitutional enumeration of federal powers [emphases added]. Thomas Jefferson: 6th Annual Message, 1806.
But unlike Sanders, note that the excerpt above also indicates that Jefferson understood that if the states wanted Congress to tax the rich to pay for everybodys schooling that the states would first need to amend the Constitution to grant Congress the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate schooling purposes.
Sanders has the same problem with the Constitution regarding his idea for universal healthcare. He doesnt seem to understand that the states have likewise never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate healthcare purposes. A previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified this as follows.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress. [emphases added] Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Sanders has also ignored his golden opportunity as a senator to rally Congress to propose healthcare and education amendments to the Constitution to the states.
The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and low-information senators who make campaign promises based on constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers to regulate, tax and spend for things like intrastate education and intrastate healthcare as well.
WHO'S GONNA PAY FOR ALL THIS CRAP, YOU COMMIE PIECE OF CRUD?
There is no such thing as a “right” that obligates the time and services of another.
Sanders says countries that abide by the principles of democratic socialism, like Cuba, Bangladesh, Mozambique and Ethopia, often lead the world in healthcare, education, and strength of the middle class.
Tell me something that isn’t a RIGHT to Leftists!!
How about cold beer? Shouldn’t that be a basic human right?
I was playing golf today by myself when I caught up with another guy playing by himself. We paired up on about the 5th hole and followed a 4some the rest of the way. Each in our own cart. After a couple of holes, politics came up and the guy says he is a Bernnie Sanders voter. Said his daughter works for planned parenthood and the videos are forgeries, didn’t like the Trump tax plan because it let corporations and rich people pay less.... Etc etc. Well, by the 18th hole I had his mind mostly changed. (I can really argue). AND, I shot 2 under for the day, so life doesn’t get much better than that!
Free college is a right? The high schools are already full of people who don’t belong there because it’s ‘free’. So, yeah, lets just repeat that winning process.
Bernie Sanders is reading directly from Stalin's USSR playbook. I'm not surprised, really, only amazed at how similar they are. I'm going to send copies of that chapter to my friends who say they're going to vote for Sanders. Some of them are intelligent enough to be able to see the folly.
"Hey Bernie, how did all those constitutional rights work out for the Russians under Stalin, eh?"
He is such a douche.
Sure, you have the “right” to go to college. Who is stopping anyone.
What he means is that it’s an entitlement.
There’s little chance of rights being protected in a nation of people who can’t tell the difference between a right and an entitlement.
S how much of other people’s time, treasure, and resources do you have a “right” to?
So is cannibalism. If you're hungry, you hunt for food.
Look at Bernie’s bigger picture. If we have those people (And I came from a family of lumberjacks so I fully understand their value) then those people ‘build things”. The LAST thing Bernie wants is more places built and opportunities coming from them. That is contrary to the central planning of socialism that keeps people dependent and CONTROLLED. And in contained cities.
People who can work metal can build guns. People that can work wood can build unauthorized housing. People that can work with power/electricity can help others generate it. People that can operate heavy equipment can get with the metal guys to convert them into weapons.
People with degrees in gay ethnic studies can sit in their cube waiting for the next scheduled 2 min. hate.
But the political ruling class still needs their homes wired, swimming pools excavated and poured, sewage connections maintained, etc....
Which is why they want Pedro to have an open border to cross. So he can come and do that for them. Liberals have a well doced history of using brown people to serve them and making them go away when they are no longer needed.
Being that they are liberals, quality work doesn’t enter into it. Take for example the Soviets to whom Utopia involved a space program filled with duct tape and bailing wire and China, whose ghost cities began crumbling during actual construction.
