Miss Alabama Meg McGuffin finished as the Fourth Runner Up in the Miss America 2016 pageant tonight.
But she may have landed first in the hearts of those who are sick and tired of Donald Trump. McGuffin said Trump is an "entertainer" and that Republicans should be "terrified" by the possibility of having him as President of the United States.
McGuffin, Miss Alabama 2015 had a few choice words about Donald Trump as she competed for the 2016 Miss America Competition crown.
Miss America judge Taya Kyle, widow of US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, asked McGuffin the following on stage question: "According to a poll released this week, Donald Trump is leading Republican candidates by 32% of the vote. Why do you think he is leading by such an overwhelming margin?"
Miss Alabama's answer: "I think Donald Trump is an entertainer and I think he says what's on a lot of peoples' minds, but I think the Republican party should be absolutely terrified of all the attention that he is taking from incredible candidates like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie who could absolutely do the job of President of the United States....

Back in the 50s and 60s when I lived in Tennessee, it truly was populated by Bible-believing Conservatives, folks from Alabama didn't think we Volunteer State residents were Conservative enough. One of my college friends was from Cullman and he thought Tennesseans were liberals in comparison to those from the Heart of Dixie! This was nearly 60 years ago. On Sunday mornings in Nashville, the streets were just about deserted because nearly everyone was in church.
It looks to me like establishment Republicans such as Christie and Bush are terrified of Trump.
Right. Why should we put our faith in an ‘entertainer’ like Trump? Instead we should trust in the ‘wisdom’ of a beauty pageant contestant. What an airhead.
Although she's black, she's truly a Southern Belle. Her heart and brains show that she's a liberty-loving young woman. I also like her accent, not a trace of ebonics.

Maybe brains do count in these things. Surprised picking Bush and Christie that she got to 4th place. Besides, what would she expect in any setting wherein she bites the hand that feeds her. Stupid.
Not everyone who thinks Trump is a really bad idea is “establishment.” Thing is - a lot of other candidates before him who have had similar controversial and contradictory positions have been labeled RINOs. Those buying into this massive fraud are headed for a world of disappointment. And I won’t feel sorry for any of you.
She might be pretty but you’d better hope you never have to seriously talk with her.
