The Daily Mail writes:
Leading Republican candidate for the White House Donald Trump hasnt officially begun scouting running mates the first primary is still six months away.
Two of his 2016 competitors come to mind for the position, however: Ben Carson and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Trumps campaign said he has cordial relationships with both men based on mutual respect.
An ex-aide to Trump, Roger Stone, was also seen meeting with Carsons campaign chief Jake Menges yesterday in New York. Stone says he did not set up the meeting at the behest of Trump, however.
Stone told DailyMail.com that he believes in citizen action and met with Menges of his own volition because he thinks Carson would be a good fit on a Trump ticket.
He stressed that the meet-up was not authorized by Trump and he no longer works for the real estate mogul...

There are so many pissants and hippies in the world I'm not sure who you're referring to. I was just commenting about that poster. I actually thought she was Roger Stone herself, until I read what she wrote. She has a picture of him on there with his famous/infamous tattoo.
Yeah, I saw that. LOL I loved working for Al Haig and Ronald Reagan, but I draw the line at a tattoo.
So you worked for two Presidents!
Do I really have to explain his statement that day at this remove? And yes, I did, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan.
I never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Not sure what Trump is up to, but leaking this info this early throws another monkey wrench in establishment Republican calculus.
As far as Cruz is concerned Trump and Cruz’ polling totals close to 40%. If this becomes more of a real story with 40% those 2 have locked up the nomination.
Trump leaves nothing to chance especially on something like this. By the time the first primary rolls around he will have already won and will be campaigning with his VP against the dem nominee. That is Trump’s style.
“Stone and Trump have been tight for years. Stone is running Trumps shadow campaign.”
TRUE!
Carson as his VP!
“The Vice President is the president of the Senate.”
John Adams:
“My country has in its wisdom contrived for me the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived.”
Idle speculation anyone? Last time I checked not even a single primary vote has been cast. Iowa Caucus is not for another 5 months. It’s almost certain that the polls in January will be different from what they are today. Just think back on what the polls were just 4 months ago. Scott Walker was leading in every national poll and leading by some distance in Iowa.
As for Ben Carson, it’s almost certain that he will bring very few black votes either as presidential or vice presidential candidate. Blacks will vote over 90%’for the Democrats as usual.
Equally, it’s almost certain that a higher percentage of Latinos will vote for the Republican candidate than the percentage of blacks voting for the GOP candidate.
LBJ:”Yep I am president now”
I appreciate you raising money for Ted Cruz.
He is the right ethnicity (it certainly matters for the Republicans to garner votes and not be perceived as racist).
The free $hit brigade care less about Carson....You have no idea how MANY blacks thinks...Granted...He may garner 1% more with Carson...that’s it!
Thanks!
Great, an idle speculation free-for-all! Regarding Ben Carson, his VP candidacy helps inoculate (sorry, bad pun) the Republicans against any lingering white guilt, not for the purpose of bringing in any black vote (as you are statistically right, a Trump/Carson ticket would never accomplish that).
Both are honest and trustworthy and that means a lot today! I would take either but would prefer Cruz!
Cultist? What the hell are you talking about? Geez! Are you talking about a brain surgeon being a cultist! What kind of kook are you anyway?
Same answer as on my post #55. Not a move to get the “free shit brigade” voters, rather overcome a lingering of white guilt in the voters. After all, wasn't Obama easily put over the top in the election on that issue? Even Rush speculates that it was a feelgood vote.
He was a highly successful pioneering pediatric brain surgeon and is also black. Making him a good fit on an outsider ticket that needs to peal off support of blacks from the Democrats.
I think Cruz is a better fit, but I favor Cruz as my first choice for POTUS too.
Anyone who believe this is delusional.
