Donald Trump Says He'll Spend 'What It Takes' To Win
The Huffington Post's Entertainment ^ | July 17, 2015 | Scott Conroy

LACONIA, N.H. -- How much is of his personal fortune is Donald Trump willing to drop on his 2016 presidential campaign? Whatever it takes to come out on top, he told The Huffington Post on Thursday.

“You saw my statement yesterday, so it’s pretty irrelevant,” Trump said, alluding to a press release in which his campaign placed his net worth in excess of $10 billion. “I’ll do what I have to do.”

Trump has already contributed at least $1.8 million of his own money to his nascent White House bid, which he launched last month, but that may be only the beginning.

Asked during a brief interview in the picturesque New Hampshire Lakes Region whether he might eventually spend up to $1 billion trying to win the presidency, Trump didn't dismiss the idea out of hand.

“It depends on what it takes,” he said.

Trump spoke during an interview at the small private airport here as he waited to call in to "The O’Reilly Factor" on The Fox News Channel after headlining an evening rally that drew several hundred people. He noted that he has risen to the top of most recent polls of Republican candidates and said he's gaining even more steam, as he feeds off his big crowds.

“I do see the enthusiasm,” he said. “I mean, forget it, right? The driver said, ‘I’ve never seen that before, and I’ve been in New Hampshire for 25 years.’ So it’s very nice to see the receptivity. People are tired of being ripped off.”(continued)

I suggest you look back at his posts as he often uses the Huffington Post. If I used DU or a Liberal site to blast Cruz you’d raise hell. For your nosey INFO The disability tissues go back some years. He told a number of folks his problems and I will not repeat them. Those are not for public INFO.

He’s Joe the Plumber with a $Billion to spend. If this doesn’t put him in frontrunner status, what will?

Cruz and Trump are grown-up’s.

Adult, alpha men.

I am for both candidates, but you’re too busy concerning yourself with 2ndDivisionVet to notice.

I spend the majority of my time on our FReepathon threads, trying my level best to help raise the needed funds to keep FR alive so that FReepers will have FR to express their opinions and to (hopefully) become active in their support for their candidate.

In days of yore our FReepathons would often finish within a week and for sure within 30 days!

Unfortunately, now our FReepathons take 60 days, and that’s not right! In fact, it’s shameful.

I might add, I also like Scott Walker, but alas! He’s not perfect either.

I’m sick to death of career politicians! Cruz is in his first term and Trump is an extremely successful businessman!

They used to complain that Dem women don’t think of whether a candidate makes a good leader, because they choose based on boyfriend qualities, attractiveness, smooth talking, charisma.

I think a variation of that thinking afflicts a number of people who view themselves as conservative, except they have different standards for their mates. Presently the nation is less concerned with someone you can bring home to Mama, it needs someone that can win a war. My requirement choosing a general is which one puts fear in the enemy’s hearts.

At this point, if Trump basically backs conservative concerns and continues to channel Alexander energy, it is a disservice to victims of this illegal administration not to employ that energy and him. Lives are being lost and innocent blood is being spilled by this administration. Waiting for Mr. Perfect has implications far darker for our future than just spending prom night alone.

What is wrong with Carson?

He's a wonderful, brilliant surgeon. A true patriot and a decent, extremely intelligent, Christian man. A real hero in my view.

Oh yeah, I hear you!

Mr Trump is is fearless. He speaks his mind, doesn't mince words and doesn't suffer fools. I find his style refreshing and the fact that he's on his own dime makes him all the more appealing. Sure he's a braggart, touting his own success, but I would too, and it's much more honest than Hillary trying to deny hers by pretending she's fighting for the “little people.”

The Chamber of Commerce candidates on our side of the aisle are completely beholden to amnesty, so-called “free trade” and other big business issues and interests.

Mr Trump actually knows BUSINESS and “The Art of the Deal.”

We have great posting packages for concern trolls.
And both of your posts, and your weird abuse of onyx, fit “concern troll” patterns.
Ask bkepley about concern trolling.

Well said. I heard him speaking about cutting off all goodies/handouts as a means to also stop illegals from coming here. I have wanted to hear someone say that, and; I actually would like to see it done as that is the main attraction here for many of them. I have heard that a list of all our programs that one can obtain and how to get them is printed in many languages. When we look back at all those who came through Ellis Island and the jobs those folks took to make a life for their families- these giveaways today are disturbing. No wonder many seem to lack any real work ethic. We owe 20 trillion and Obama is giving away free junior college. Unreal.

He won’t have to spend much at all as long as he gets good press coverage.

What if the dems end up with Sanders?

A Presidential version of a subway series, if Trump is the Republican nominee. Brooklyn's Sanders vs. Queens' Trump. Stranger things have happened, e.g. Barack Hussein Obama as a two term President.

Few if any “r”’s at the end of their words, “th”s becoming “d”’s, and nasal intonations.

I LOVE your description.

Weird thing is, I could live with the idea of Sanders as the nominee. He's never let anyone define him. Debates between Trump and Sanders could educate the nation on what the US is supposed to represent.
