Faded, former-media darling Katie Couric hosted Republican Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for a full-hour to discuss a wide range of issues Monday. The left-wing anchor, who is now perched at a place called Yahoo!, introduced Cruz as a historic candidate — potentially the first American president to be born in Canada. Later in the interview, she questioned Cruz on his citizenship.
The look on Couric’s smug face when he correctly reminded her that it was the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2008 that birthed the anti-Obama Birther movement, is priceless.

ive been a hug Scott Walker fan...but man, Ted Cruz is outstanding...great debater. He was smacking her around like a cat with a ball of yarn. He won me over!!...god, id love to see him debate Hillary Clinton..oh god, let him be the nominee.

I didn’t think I could stand it either but once I started watching I wanted to listen to the entire interview. Cruz does most of the talking.
It was well worth listening to IMO. Cruz did avoid answering some questions directly. I think he doesn’t want to play the left’s “gotcha” game but some of them are questions I would like answered as well.
I had to laugh when Katie just had to keep asking Cruz “What about the Pope?” as if he was an expert on global warming. I think Cruz handled that question better than I would have. In all the interviews I have seen with him he is a very patient man and doesn’t seem to crack under pressure. He just keeps explaining and explaining and explaining. Unfortunately I think Katie is just too dumb to get it.
I just downloaded his book today from Amazon. Anxious to start reading it.

Her upper lip was distracting, what’s wrong with it? It’s whiter than the rest of her face and it doesn’t move. My eye kept being drawn to her upper lip—freakish.

I’m sure his book will sell well without her help. Yahoo is a good place for her.

That was a great interview. Sen. Cruz was able to be in charge and master the interview. As hard as Couric tried to get gotcha answers from him, he ran circles around her.
I believe he was sincere in all his answers. I can’t wait until we have the debates.
Just think of what Cruz would do to Hillary in a debate.
My question is still this: Does anyone watch Yahoo News Videos? I’m thinking Katie Couric has a viewing audience smaller than the Al Sharpton’ show on MSNBC. I hope I’m wrong because I’d like for a gazillion people to see this interview. Apparently Ted thinks she has a big enough audience to make it worth him investing valuable campaign time going on the program.
Cruz was the solicitor general for the State of Texas. He argued several cases before the Supreme Court.
Katie is a journalist.
