He sure does, says Team Cruz.
But the key to victory, Cruz advisers believe, is to be the second choice of enough voters in the partys libertarian and social conservative wings to cobble together a coalition to defeat the chosen candidate of the Republican establishment
To them, the Republican primaries are a series of single-elimination brackets where the four GOP leaders who best represent the partys libertarian, establishment, social conservative and tea party wings will survive as the field winnows. Cruz will vie for the support of the tea party electorate, his advisers say, but will fare well enough with social conservative and libertarian voters to assemble a powerful coalition.

Cruz path: 1) Walker stumbles 2) Jindal, Perry don't get
traction 3) liquidate Carson, Huck, Santorum early 4) out-purist Rubio 5) 1-1 w/Jeb

Its a war of attrition and Cruz is well equipped for a war like that in theory. A chunk of the party sees him as the True Conservative in the race and will likely hang with him for months after voting begins. He and Rubio are often compared to each other but theyre in opposite positions to start: Cruz has an obvious niche on the right to fill, which makes him a contender in Iowa and South Carolina, whereas Rubio somehow has to cobble together votes across the spectrum while leapfrogging Scott Walker as the candidate who can best unite the party....

We need a live thread for Ted on Hannity in 30 minutes, who said he’d let Ted talk about what he wants to instead of being grilled. Ted has the whole hour.
FUFNC is my normal attitude but this is gonna be GOOD.
Yep. Lots of comparisons over the past years here of Cruz and Reagan.
And was said previously several times Cruz will make a better president than Reagan because he has 20-20 hindsight.
Yes so when it comes up its too late to get anybody else... Diabolical ...

Skipped over Paul, who is running from the outside like his dad did. Paul people are like the Kucinich people on the left. They don’t care they can’t win. They are like Kamikazes.
Wait......oh, damn.
Stay in the running in Iowa and S. Carolina, blow off NH, and then the field is staring down an early Texas primary. If Sen. Cruz stays viable until Texas and polls well there, it’ll bring in crossover votes for the 6 state Mar 1st primary and that’ll feed right into the CPAC straw poll that starts the next day.
Texas’ early primary can give the right candidate momentum and Sen Cruz is a favored son.
THAT’S the path to the nomination.
Cruz destroys all in debate.
I also think Jeb is a worse candidate than either Romney or McCain, he simply has no constituency and excites no one. Plus that last name of his.......
You understand that his American citizenship was conferred to him at birth by his American mother, right?
Thus you also understand that as such he is a natural born citizen, right?
Furthermore, you understand that no one in this country has any standing at all to even bring this case until he is president, because no one can demonstrate any injury until such time, right?
....and Terry Shiavo.....
That is a case right out of the Left’s playbook. Look over here, NO, look over there, Wait, look here now.
Total BS. The Cruz knows law and served with the Supreme Court justice.
Let’s not suffer fools so gladly. The Left is nervous, loud and bombastic and threatening when they are about to lose.
It’s now or never to vote God first, and Country, or we lose both, and soon. Heck, we may lose it BEFORE 2016. So, it’s Cruz or Bust.
He was e best choice in a poor field at the time. Oh well...
God rest ye, merry gentleman!! You ROCK!
Ted’s problems as I see it are raising enough money and withstanding the dual smearing of the MSM and the GOPe.
I am praying a grassroots wave will take off for him. I think he’s really the only guy who has any chance to start turning this country around.
It’s Cruz or Bust this time, baby. No “wing and a prayer” this time!
Nice. That is the best explanation EVER. Thanks.
Its going to take us doing all we can from donating to volunteering. He won’t be getting the big money donors so we have to step up, give till it hurts and do campaign work for free.
I know. That is a big concern. Buttttt, I’m not compromising this time. Time is too short and Satan is stirring, and I trust NO ONE, really. But Ted Cruz. I trust him.
This time I vote God first, not second. I voted country before God last time.
Second got me nada and zip.
Yeah and Gay Marriage is not in the Const anywhere either ... since when did being right on the law matter when all they have to do is have corrupt political agenda judges rule they way they want until its too late to fix. The ONLY way to spring their trap I see is to get the Supreme Court to issue an Opinion before it hits their crony judges.
Your explanation assumes that a US citizen is the same thing as a natural born citizen, which is required for eligibility under the Constitution. That’s where the issue arises. Nobody has really disputed whether Zero is a citizen because he was born to a mother who was a citizen. The issue is whether he is deemed to be a natural born citizen because he may not have been born on US soil. I don’t know the answer and am a big supporter of Ted, but the answer is not as simple as you suggest.
