You understand that his American citizenship was conferred to him at birth by his American mother, right?
Thus you also understand that as such he is a natural born citizen, right?
Furthermore, you understand that no one in this country has any standing at all to even bring this case until he is president, because no one can demonstrate any injury until such time, right?
Nice. That is the best explanation EVER. Thanks.
Yeah and Gay Marriage is not in the Const anywhere either ... since when did being right on the law matter when all they have to do is have corrupt political agenda judges rule they way they want until its too late to fix. The ONLY way to spring their trap I see is to get the Supreme Court to issue an Opinion before it hits their crony judges.
Your explanation assumes that a US citizen is the same thing as a natural born citizen, which is required for eligibility under the Constitution. That’s where the issue arises. Nobody has really disputed whether Zero is a citizen because he was born to a mother who was a citizen. The issue is whether he is deemed to be a natural born citizen because he may not have been born on US soil. I don’t know the answer and am a big supporter of Ted, but the answer is not as simple as you suggest.
And, to rule that Cruz is not a native born citizen would also (after the fact) disqualify 0bama, whose mother was not old enough to confer citizenship on him at the time of his birth. Cruz’ mother was.
“Furthermore, you understand that no one in this country has any standing at all to even bring this case until he is president”
Wouldn’t the “standing” issue be up to the judge?
