The Republicans really need to lay off UN Ambassador Susan Rice. The image of a party of angry old white dudes going after an accomplished black woman will not give them the image makeover they need.
Not unlike their outrageous behavior over the past four yearsand this election season in particularthe party is guilty of overreach. Despite the thrashing the GOP received on election day, and the lessons they should have learned when President Barack Obama cleaned Romneys clock, old habits are hard to break.
The Grand Old Party has engaged in relentless attacks on Ambassador Rices intelligence and reputation, turning her into a scapegoat for the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which killed a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. At issue for Republicans are Rices statements on the Sunday talk show circuit following the attack.
The diplomat characterized the Benghazi incident as a protest by extremists against an anti-Muslim videoan assessment based on the best intelligence the CIA had at the time. Rice had nothing to do with Benghazi, and yet, as a brilliant black woman in the upper echelons of the Obama administration, she is a convenient target for a party that has problems with women and black people...

From my perspective it appears that the country’s first black president refused to send aid to 4 white Americans who were under fire and eventually murdered, and then sent out his black UN AMbassador to lie to the American people about it. How’s that for racial optics?
Angry old black dude scolds “angry old white dudes”. Thanks, dude, for your analysis on how the GOP “lost” black voters.
Here comes that race card again. Every incompetent black that ever lived has played that card over and over.
The media eats it up.
We hired her because she was black, we should fire her because she is incompetent.Like her boss.
Just because democrats are obsessed with race is no reason to emulate them.
Having said that, who deliberately sends a homosexual to represent us in a Muslim country?
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
The same friggin idiot who sends a woman to be Secretary of State to a Muslim Country, where their women have to wear Burkas.
Now admittedly Hillary would look better in a Burka, but Muslims do not like their own women , much less ours. Now they want to replace that woman with another ,this time a black woman who they like even less.
You tell me who advises this racist Muslim clown.
Ain’t it just odd that the black muslim massa of the house sent miss susie out unarmed so he could hide behind her skirts...just like muslims are wont to do?
You know, I honestly did not until maybe 10 days ago. I tend to listen to the TV more than watch it and not all threads on FR are accompanied by pictures ;-) I despised her lying on the talk shows, and if you’d held up a picture of a blond woman and told me that it was Susan Rice I wouldn’t have argued.
But yes, a person lies to the public to protect the administration, and we’re supposed to not only ignore that, but give her a promotion too!
Red black blue or brown, I don’t care what her race is. It’s the acts and ideas I detest, not the person or their race.
You might wish to recall that GWB did the same with ol condi there.
Unless you want to adversely affect the United States?
Obama is not “black” or African-American. Like most Americans he is a mixture of ethnic blood. If Obama was smart he would emphasize his mixture and encourage all of us to see America as a melting pot where we mix our diversity into a cauldron that produces the strong metal of America, a metal that is stronger than all separated ethnic cultural allegiances, a metal that merges us into a united nation, a nation that is e plurabus unum, not a nation that is divided by so called race or ethnicity. I am NOT white or black or German or French - all the ancestry of my past is merged together in an America I want to celebrate with all who come from diverse backgrounds and ancestries but to do this we MUST STOP thinking of ourselves as being of a certain race or ethnic group.
Right. As far as I’m concerned he’s black.
“So every Democrat with any minority status of any kind gets a complete pass and cannot be held accountable for anything they do or say?”
You have stumbled upon a fundamental truth, my friend.
The veracity of her words is validated by the color of her skin, IF she is a Democrat.
Yeah. You must not have heard—Honesty, responsibility, and competence are old white dude values.
The Rats own affirmative action politics.
If Obama would appoint a white male to anything then we could freely criticize them.
If Miss Rice cannot answer the criticism, she certainly does not deserve a promotion. But no one should dignify this ridiculous gambit by wringing their hands, and hesitating to make the perfectly valid point, that the woman deliberately misrepresented what was happening in Libya.
And by the way, if anyone needs to clean up their approach to dealing with other races, it is those in this Administration, who try to blame Whites for all sorts of problems, that have nothing to do with White attitudes. (None of us sat in a church for 20 years, where they "damned" America, either.

It is because they are "special," in the "education" sense of the term.
I can smell the fecal matter from here. Loads and loads of it.
The only thing equal among all people from conception to death is “the soul” i.e., life itself.
The Left will continue to push its illogical wares & theories by every device that has any effect.

This is nothing ‘new’.
When hillary was running against Lazio, he called her ma’am (which is what young Catholic boys are taught to call female elders - like sir for men) and stepped from behind the podium and he was accused of ‘attacking’ and bullying her because she was a she (well supposedly).
Also the ADM (GEN?) that was calling Boxer ma’am (which BTW is(was) the Military Custom for a male addressing a Senior (in rate/rank) female, or an older female)
AND both times (including numerous other type examples) the LIBS got away with it.
Like Gingrich or not, if he was in a leadership position this petty name calling etc would at least be challenged.
