An overwhelming 85% of Indian Americans support Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election, according to a poll conducted earlier this year. The results of the study, which were published in early May, also revealed that only 67% of Indian Americans polled voted for Obama in 2008.
Mr. Obama’s life story seems to resonate better than Mitt Romney’s with many Indian Americans. In the study, which was conducted by Lake Research Partners, on the question of Obama vs. Romney, the ratio was a staggering 76 to 8 in favor of Mr. Obama.
Mr. Obama has shown strong support for Indian Americans, appointing them to some of the highest offices and continuing to laud the contribution of Asian Americans, even though his outsourcing policies have raised eyebrows...

Chuck Fleischmann has 3 primary challengers including Wamp’s son.
Bhalla has raised (I kid you not) $150 for his race. That is not a typo. $150. Fleischmann has only two serious opponents, Scottie Mayfield (of the Mayfield Ice Cream family) & Weston Wamp. The problem, however, remains, what has Fleischmann done to warrant being replaced ? Unless someone else knows, I have not a clue.
Junior Wamp has no credentials other than he wants his father’s old seat, which rules him out (I never much cared for Zach, he turned into a grandstander in his last terms and I’m glad he didn’t win the Guv nomination). Mayfield had an embarrassing situation on his hands (although not of his doing) when his adult son slashed the tires of a Fleischmann staffer not too long ago.
Sounds like Fleischmann has nothing to worry about other than Wamp Jr.
This isn’t a monarchy son.
I haven’t heard of the ice cream, must not have it up here. Dairy magnate doesn’t appear to be a good path to congress.

Of course, something can be said for a Congressman “doing nothing”, since when they do something, it usually involves fleecing taxpayers.
DesJarlais has no real primary opposition except in November against another rodent from the Lincoln Davis ilk in Eric Stewart. What on earth did he write in the newsletter that was so dreadful ? (I didn’t see it since I’m not a constituent being perpetually in the 5th)

It is not just Indians. Every immigrant till date (including White Europeans) have brought their own culture and values from their place of origin to US. Its nothing new.

Most Americans themselves know very little about the rest of America outside their “hood”, their county and their suburb. Its even more true of people down south and mid west.

Wong. A lot of Indians DO assimilate. And as matter of fact..... Indians are the only ones who do not have a mafia-like gang. Every other ethnicity have mafia-like gangs.... and violent criminals ones at that. Starting of course with Italians, Russians, Irish, Eastern Europeans, Mexican, Blacks, Asian. Every heard of an Indian criminal gang? If any, Indians get involved only in white collared crimes.

Actually that generation of Americans long ceased to exist. Today you actually have a situation were immigrant Indians and Asians are the affluent and productive part of the economy while a large White trash community live off welfare. Ironically the hardworking immigrants actually have a better appreciation of the American values today.
Pretty soon, there won’t be a motel, hotel, b&b or anything else where you ain’t paying to a Patel. They’re taking over !

1. They get the same stories/lies from the VERY American media where everyone else gets their news. They are no more gullible then the rest of the America population.
2. 1st generation were NEVER “schooled” in traditional American values and history. They “schooled” themselves if at all. And very often they are better informed then American kids who ARE schooled in American history and values.
3. There is no way you know what kind of “deprivation” they faced in their country. Most Indians coming to US come from Indian middle class family. They aren't absolutely “deprived” but the same time they aren't smothered and spoiled by all the luxury either. They value whatever little they get and learn to work hard for it unlike a lot of Americans. More American live off freebies (then Indians) and still complain about everything.
