At his presser today, Obama was asked by a reporter whether his new jobs tour has devolved into little more than a Truman-style political campaign against a do nothing Congress. In response, he essentially called on the media to take a stand on whether the GOP is really offering any real jobs plan of its own:
What Ive tried to do is say, Here are the best ideas Ive heard. Not just from partisans, but from independent economists. These are the ideas most likely to create jobsnow an strengthen the economy right now. And thats what the American peole are looking for. And the response from Republicans has been, No. Although they havent given any good reason why theyre opposed to putting construction workers back on the job or teachers back in the classroom. If you ask them, well okay, if youre not for that, what are you for? The answer were getting right now is, were going to roll back all these Obama regulations. So their big economic plan to put people back to work right now is to roll back financial protections and allow banks to charge hidden fees on credit cards again? Or weaken consumer watchdogs?
Or, alternatively, theyve said, well roll back regulations that make sure we have clean air and clean water. Eliminate the EPA. Does anybody really think that that is going to create jobs right now and meet the challenges of a global economy that is weakening, with all these forces coming in to play?
Heres a good question. Heres a little homework assignment for folks. Go ask the Republicans what their jobs plan is, if theyre opposed to the American Jobs Act....

Pray for America
Isn’t that what you said before B.O.
The only thing that produced was you and Joe blowing smoke up our a***** about a “summer of recovery”.
Stand aside. Do the decent thing. Do what LBJ did.

Poor Obama. He always talks about the great advice he is getting from his inner circle. He never talks about the fact that his inner circle has the least real world experience of any administration.
He then reverts to his crony Wall Street friends who are busy borrowing free money from the Fed and using their inside information to make profits. They don’t care about the economy.... they just care about the market.
When that does’nt work, he pulls out the Oracle of Omaheimers and talks about taxing the rich.
Obama just can’t admit that his new ideas are the same failed ideas they keep doing expecting a different result. His blatant effort to shore up his union base with government spending is obvious.
What I would’nt give to be able to replace every fake applause line in his teleprompter with “and our children can pay for it!”
Curious.
I thought the role of the Press was to report facts.
He needs to stop pretending he’s an American.
We all know... 'CHANGE' = ZERO Jobs MORE Spending MORE Debt MORE Golf MORE Taxes MORE Welfare MORE Abortions MORE Regulation MORE Government MORE Speeches MORE Money Printing MORE Vacations MORE Porkulus ('Recovery Summer' lost a net 329,000 jobs) MORE Failure MORE Mumbo-jumbo LESS Coal LESS WOOD (Gibson Guitars Strung Up by Feds)
Hope and Change.... Tragic.

This classless, soulless yutz doesn’t seem to realize that the country he is president of includes people who disagree with him.
Speaking about weakening or abolishing the EPA.....”Does anyone really think that will create jobs right now?”
Yes
EPA Regulation Would Cost $1.2 Million Per Job Created
August 12, 2011
(CNSNews.com) - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been promoting the job creation and health aspects of its impending regulations on the electric industry, but in congressional testimony an agency official admitted the impending regulations would cost business $10.9 billion and create only 9,000 full time jobs.
On July 26th House Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs listened to testimony on the issue. Lawmakers questioned energy and EPA officials on the Cross- State Air Pollution Control (CSAPR) for coal energy plants and other regulations coming from the EPA.
So,what is your estimate that the cost is per job?, asked Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle (R-N.Y.).
EPA Deputy Administrator Robert Perciasepe responded, The annual cost of the rule is $10.9 billion with ultimately around 9,000 permanent jobs.
Buerkle continued, And so, what is that cost per job.
After a long pause, Perciasepe replied Well, it - the purpose of the rule is to achieve 17,000 avoid premature deaths for 17,000 adults, 11,000 non-fatal heart attacks, 5,300 hospital admissions, 6,900 emergency room visits, 4,500 cases of chronic bronchitis, 11,000 cases of acute bronchitis those are the things we add up as the benefit side.
Buerkle pressed, I understand all that, but your using this as a justification because this creates jobs ,we have to look at the cost per job and say does that even make sense?”
Mathematically, the answer is $1.21 million per job.
