Do you have any opinions about the recall race, particularly the "Tom vs. Arnold" debate, that you are ready to share with the forum? I noticed that you have been keeping a low profile on this.

Arnold's their pimp, they accept his abuse.

I have yet to see a single substantive conservative position taken by Arnold's camp. Apart from mouthing the names of a few icons of the right (e.g., Adam Smith and Ronald Reagan) he has been uniformly liberal.
It has been well noted on other threads that he will have a very difficult time getting any conservative legislation (maybe he'll come up with something) passed under the best of circumstances. You know what he won't have any trouble getting passed? That's right: his liberal agenda including the gun control he wants to foist on everyone.

FYI, from the Sacramento Bee:
But in an interview with Berkeley's Youth Radio last year, Schwarzenegger said he
wants kids to understand the difference between movies and real life.
"In reality, I'm for gun control," he said. "I'm a peace-loving guy. I hate violence
amongst the young kids."
He went further on Aug. 27, telling a Los Angeles radio audience that he supports the
federal Brady Bill's background checks on gun buyers, trigger locks, the assault rifle
ban and restrictions on gun show purchases.

In other words he just joined to get campaign mileage out of it. How come he didn't join in the past 20 years?
According to the Liberty Belles' web site, they have only been in existence since 2001.
[That is, they have only been in existence for 2 years.]
[If they have been in existence for only 2 years, then Tom and Lori could not have joined it 20 years ago, because it did not exist then.]
Say FairOpinion, would you be willing to say the comments you made about Tom, and Lori, to their faces in person?

The latest poll has Arnold at 40, busty at 25, and tom at 18. With the right turnout, Tom can beat Busty. Then you can explain why you got the liberal elected when he was NOT the only one who would win. It won't happen. This is just another fantasy like Tom's huge surge into the lead.
Plus, you mistakenly think that if Arnold was not in the race, all of his votes would go to Tom. That's the problem I have with you TomBots... You people are just so ignorant of actual politics. That is why you guys are just continually wrong with all of your predictions.

Good advice. The anti-Arnold crowd doesn't appear to be using their noggins on this one.
To: Roscoe
California has a number of gun control laws more restrictive than federal law. And McClintock would repeal them all, right? No? Couldn't get it through the legislature? Another straw man from the Kool Aid Gang.
VOTE McCLINTOCK! SUICIDE BEFORE VICTORY!!!

McClintock would veto more restrictions, Schwarzenegger would sign them and laugh.

The other problem is that by going solely for "electability" it tells other Pubbie wanna-be candidates that they can check their principles at the door, as the Pubbie party doesn't care about such things anymore... all they care about is that (R) after the name... so candidates can pander to the left all they want and not ever worry about their "base."

Furthermore, in electing RINOld, they will remove any resistance the Pubbies in the legislature have to the passage of more of the Left's agenda. Perhaps this is the RINOld-bots intent.

The 2A community had better not sell him out. Otherwise, we all lose.

Well, I'm sadly disappointed that so many people have taken it upon themselves to attack McClintock so viciously. McClintock is a fine conservative with a great record and does not deserve this abuse. I can understand that people don't think he can beat Arnold due to his money, fame, name recognition and backing by Wilson and other big name Republicans, etc, but this does not mean McClintock should have his name and reputation dragged through the mud. Whatever happens this election, we will still need conservatives like McClintock in California. Wish we had more like him.

From what I have seen and learned about McClintock over the past year, he is exactly the kind of Republican we need in every primary and in every race.

"I think I'm going to change my position and support gun control."
I don't get the impression that is a change for you. Without gun control, unstable people waving guns around would be eliminated from the gene pool, the threat they pose would be removed. NEXT PROBLEM?
Why do anti-2A people post comments on these threads? Is it part of the Democratic Party platform just to be contrary?
