What I'm trying to figure out is how you two happen to be on the RIGHT side of this issue with Tom... welcome to the light! Maybe there IS hope for you, after all! Now your arguments have logic and RIGHT on your side! COOL!

Maybe there IS hope for you, after all! Aw, ain't they sweet together? Before you know it, ol' dcw is going to be putting up salmon curtains in the bunker and ordering that three-headed Steely Dan "personal relaxation device" out of the Metrosexual Catalog.

Since RKBA is the bedrock of ALL our rights, why would that NOT be number one most important? RKBA is what ensures that we have the means to KEEP our freedom. Why do you suppose that politicians like DiFi, Teddy No-Pants, Don Perata, Dubya, RINOld, Billy Bentpecker and HilLIARy so badly want to see us disarmed?

None of the Arnold apologists can bring themselves to address his positions.
"I'm for gun control. I'm a peace-loving guy." - Time magazine cover story Aug 18, 2003. When interviewed on the issues by Sean Hannity on August 27th, Schwarzenegger admitted that he is for gun control. He said he supported both the Brady Bill and the ban on so-called "assault weapons." He said "also I would like to close the loophole of the gun shows." When asked by the Sacramento Bee to detail his positions on gun issues (scroll down), Arnold stated that he supports legislation to ban .50-caliber rifles, force gun buyers to pass a state-defined test in order to purchase a handgun, and require load indicators or magazine safety disconnects on new semiauto handguns.

I never expected you to be able to defend Arnold's attacks on the RKBA.

State laws are important. Arnold's anti-gun rhetoric shows that he'll gladly sign new state laws favoring the gun grabbers.

Yeah, right about the time you trade in your horns for wings... One issue does NOT a long-term commitment make. Maybe if they decide to come around on ALL the liberty issues, I'll open the living room of the bunker to them... but my wife would have fits if they went anywhere else in the place. But the three-headed thing... seems YOU know where to find such vile toys. Is there something you want to tell us about yourself? Maybe out yourself right here on FR? Or maybe you just did...

I knew I liked him. I don't have a dog in this fight, but if I were a resident of California, he would have my vote.

From closely following most of these Tom vs. Arnold threads (20+ per day) one thing stands out: A whole lot of California freepers are so blinded by irrational desperation to dump Davis (and elect a "Republican", any "Republican") that they will go so far as to trash a great conservative like Tom McClintock while they prop up a "moderate" action movie star.
I'm sure that this whole debate will make for an interesting psychological study someday, but right now I have nothing but disdain for all those surrender monkeys who insist that California can only elect a liberal, and if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
And so they demonize the man who said this:
"I am the only candidate at this table who has signed a no-tax pledge. I am the only candidate at this table who supports Proposition 54 to stop the government from racially classifying every one of us. I'm the only candidate at this table that (opposes) the bill that gives driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. I'm the only candidate at this table who's pro life. I'm the only candidate who supports the entire Bill of Rights, including our Second Amendment. And I'm the only candidate who for 20 years in the public arena has proposed and fought for precisely those fiscal forms that are desperately needed to straighten out this state's finances."
- Tom McClintock (Debate closing statement, 9-24-03)
(McClintock looked straight into the camera and proudly stated what he stands for.)
To: Jeff Gordon
I'm just sitting here watching you run.
