Wow! Used to drive through Grand Terrace not infrequently when I was stationed in SoCal about 10 years ago.

It doesn't say where the guy lived - just that they waited for him ouside his house. I wonder if he lives nearer Poway? I sure hope the cops are trying to rule in or out a connection between the two cases.

I would know a lot more about this case, if they had said whether this Castro was a relative or friend, or even the father or uncle, etc. of the girl. We are left with a picture of the girl, who doesn't look very Hispanic but is brunette.

Grand Terrace seems like a wholesome spot if I can remember my Calif geography, about 100 miles N of where the Van Dams lived, but not in the economic league to have their kind of lifestyle...at least as I remember. More average-income area I would say.

I know a couple that lost a child to one of the monsters. It's been several years and still when I see them the pain in their eyes is beyond description. I don't know how they go on.

When these types are caught they should be put to death. They cannot be fixed. They were born devoid of humanity. But if they happen not to kill the child and get caught we keep letting them out. And they will do it again. And again. And again.
