Reno to Speak at N O W Conference

The Florida National Organization for Women will hold it’s statewide conference on Saturday and Sunday, January 26th and 27th. At the Inverrary Hotel Resort at 3501 Inverrary Blvd., Ft Lauderdale, FL.

Gubernatorial candidates Lois Frankel and Janet Reno will make featured appearances.

The workshops will be “Finding and Supporting Good Women Candidates”, “Pitfalls of Running a Successful Campaign”, “E-Marketing and Fundraising”, “Young Feminists” as well as “Sexual Harassment” and “Abortion Rights” Call (954) 456-6080

It would be great to ask her about womens rights in Afghanistan now that the Taliban are no longer in power. I would keep drilling on this subject until she was forced to say something nice about President Bush. I wonder if her head would explode first.

Thanks for the flag, Fearless Flyers. Here are some topics I hope they discuss:

(1) Why it is that a GOP governor -- Jeb Bush -- has done more to financially help FL teachers than the FL teachers union ever did;

(2) Why it is that a GOP governor -- Jeb Bush -- has hired more women and blacks in high paying positions on his official staff than any Dem governor in this state ever did; and

(3) Why it is that 70% of black children are born out of wedlock -- which does not exactly provide a solid foundation of learning support for the kids and for teachers who seek to teach these kids.

Hope they address those issues, as such issues are of great interest to me, a FL certified teacher, and a former Dem and now an independent voter here in FL.
