Ok,
As a relatively new Freeper, I haven't a clue to what CHEESE means.... yes, I know the stuff a person can eat. But there are the "Must like cheese" statements and the like. I did a search and there was no good explanation that I could find. Anyone caring to explain on this vanity post, please enlighten a new freeper.
Regards
Delta-Boudreaux

To: All Not an unreasonable thing to wonder about.
Here's what I wonder about (Anyone else here read Slashdot, or other geek sites?)...
Why do they refer to pornography as pr0n? (that's 'r' before a zero, if I've read it right)
Socialists in Congress? Click on the zeppelin, Grasshopper.

It's a silly private joke amongst a handful of people who hang out here. It's sort of like Kwanza.

It's awfully Gouda you to bring this question up, because I Camembert the mystery any longer! I'll be Bleu if the Meunsters on this board can't answer this question. It'll really get my Goat.

As a member of the 'Cheese Brigade', I am compelled not to reveal the secret.
I can give you a hint though- The more cheese references on a thread, the more likely that the thread has been hijacked to FReeper Island.
It also has to do with Mooses, or whatever the correct plural of 'moose' is- but I've said too much already.

Lazmataz's sister got bitten by a cheese once. A MØØse once bit my sister ...
No realli! She was Karving her initals on the mØØse with the sharpened end of an interspace tØØthbrush given by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Øslo dentist and star of many Norwegian mØvies: "The HØt Hands of an Øslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge MØlars of Horst Nordfink".
Mynd you, mØØse bites Kan be pretty nasti ...

Many allusions to "cheese", as to "cut the cheese" (euphemism for releasing intestinal gasses), "Cheese it!" as a warning to look as innocent as possible when the authorities come prowling around, "Say cheese!" to encourage people to put on the expressions to be recorded in a photograph, an expletive that SOUNDS like an expression of the Lord's name, as in "CHEESE!" Maybe there is some I have not covered, which would more exactly explain the use of this particular term. Anybody?
To: Lazamataz
OK who cut the cheese?
To: babylonian
