I just heard from my daughter, Rebecca (his wife). They are trying to remove fragments from the spinal cord. He still has no feelings in the lower legs or feet. He will be coming into Walter Reid next week. Thank you for all your prayers.
Dusty was among the 10th Mountain Division soldiers wounded or killed last week in the IED attack.
I pray LORD that you will Glorify yourself in the life of this fallen soldier.
Comfort his family and guide his doctors with your eye.
Give us the Joy of your strength!
Prayers on the way for this brave soldier.
Heavenly Father, we ask that you heal all wounds and guide the surgeon’s hands as they face the difficult task of removing the shell fragments from Dusty’s spine. Please hold Dusty in your healing embrace as he undergoes this delicate surgery.
Bless and comfort 1Lt Becky and US Army EOD as they await word of your divine intervention.

Just got a update on Dusty from his sister. It is all good news. They were able to remove what they needed to from the aorta plus they inserted a rod in the spine that went exactly where they wanted it to. They can not detect any spinal leakage which means there is a good chance he may fully recover given time.
Becky was able to get off to Germany and should be there soon.
I want to thank you all for your support and the prayers, looks like they really worked. I will keep everyone informed and thank you again.
Update just received from US Army EOD...
I just heard from Dusty’s sister and learned that the latest operation went well. They got what they needed to get away from the aorta. The rod they put in went exactly where they wanted it to go, plus they could find no leakage of spinal fluid. There is an excellent chance that he may fully recover, given time.
Becky got off and should be in Germany shortly.
The prayers really have worked.
