DALLAS PRIVATE DETECTIVE CAUGHT IN BOGUS PETITION SCAM

Special Report

By David W. Virtue

DALLAS, TX--Jack Taylor, private detective and a pro-homosexual Episcopal activist in the Diocese of Dallas, has tried to sabotage the upcoming meeting of biblically-orthodox Episcopalians at Christ Church, Plano, in October by trying to stuff bogus petitions using the letterhead of the mainstream American Anglican Council into church bulletins.

The petition urged parishioners of Christ Church, Plano, the most attended Episcopal Church in the U.S. with the words "we, the undersigned, reject the actions of the AAC and its absolutist or puritanical statement in refusing to accept the majority will as enacted by the 74th General Convention of the Episcopal Church."

The petition went on to say, "the AAC directly contradict the tradition and reason of this Church. They also imperil our relationships with one another as faithful Christians."

The president of the AAC, Canon David Anderson told Virtuosity, that they have referred the Taylor Petition to their attorney for legal action because of the Trademark and copyright infringement.

"His claim to be an AAC member is also under investigation in that the doctrinal statement of the AAC is incompatible with the statements he has espoused," said Anderson.

According to the rector of Christ Church, Dr. David Roseberry, Taylor snuck into Christ Church Plano on Saturday night, at a service, and rifled through their bulletins and inserted copies of the petition that he hoped would be distributed to the parish membership.

However the service the ushers spotted the bogus petition and turned it over to the Rev. Roseberry.

The rector of the 5,500-members and friends of the church quickly e-mailed the Diocese of Dallas clergy and orthodox rectors around the country and told them to watch out for Taylor's dirty tricks.

"Three days later Taylor called to apologize," said Roseberry. "He admitted the whole affair and offered to come and publicly apologize to the whole congregation."

"What was truly offensive to me, said Roseberry to Virtuosity, "was that he snuck into the church, put up these bogus petitions and made them look deliberately like an AAC sponsored event."

"I have been the rector of Christ Church Plano for more than18 years and no one has ever tried to subvert my pastoral authority in my congregation."

Taylor also admitted in his conversation with Roseberry that he had called the church office in the guise of a prospective church member and had asked the receptionist in a fake southern drawl what the church's policy was regarding women, blacks and gays.

"The secretary responded factually that ALL are welcome to Christ Church," said Roseberry.

Taylor has made it almost his life's work to discredit orthodox Episcopalians. Over the years he has spent considerable effort and money to harass, undermine, humiliate and drive out the biblically orthodox from The Episcopal Church. He has been the bane of Dallas Bishop James Stanton's existence.

He has gone after nearly every orthodox diocese looking for dirt and found none. He has attacked Episcopalians United and has even gone after this writer as well. He has attacked the Canon Law Institute, filing specious bar complaints against its Executive Director, Fr. Charles Nalls.

"He will stop at nothing to discredit ECUSA's biblically orthodox for his sodomite pals or anyone who would serve as their protector," said Nalls.

Having tangled with Taylor a couple of times myself, I've found him to be, well, pitiful. As best I could tell in my own research, the fact that one of his sons died of AIDs while living in a homosexual lifestyle has resulted in Taylor's crusade to try to force everyone he meets to say that homosexuality is a legitimate lifestyle. truly sad.
