Is anything missing from the New American Bible
Well, the others are missing 7 books that this one properly has.
To: Commander8
The obsession with the KJV is almost cultic here.

MISSING? Nonsense!
Get a 1611 reproduction of the KJV published by Nelson or order a Cambridge that has it. You can also order those 7 books you are so hung up on as a separate KJV book. Just ask your Christian bookseller.
Once you are well aquainted with the Bible, then read the Apocrypha and you will see the deficiencies in those 7 books.

How condescending, as if I don't know anything about the Bible because I'm Catholic.
Let me ask you something. If you guys didn't have the Catholic Church to play off of, would you actually have any beliefs?
To: Conservative til I die
Of course we would. There is the Eastern Orthodox Church.
Years ago I read an article on how the Catholic Church split from Orthodox Christianity and became a "heritic" church. The article was written by an Orthodox, naturally.

Bible Believers are not a cult.
THere's a difference between a Bible Believing Christian and a Bible Believer. As in one whose faith centers on a bible; a specific translation of a bible.
And judging by the fact that every post by you in a religiont thread is about the KJV, it's at the least an obsession.

Hate to rain on your parade, but the various Eastern Orthodox churches(they are not a single entity) all recognize the Deuterocanonical (aka Apocryphal) books. Some even recognize OT books that the Roman Catholic canon does not.
If you honestly study the Eastern Orthodox Churches you would realize their doctrines and faith have far more in common with the Catholic Church than they have with Protestantism. About the only subject the Orthodox have more in common with Protestants than Catholics is the rejection of the Roman patriarch's authority.

We would just give the E. Orthodox some of the same arguements.
Do you know that many of the Orthodox do not accept the book of REVELATION in our bibles?
