America Prayer Vigil - August 12, 2026

Jeremiah 29:4-7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease. But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Father, We again thank You for the privilege we have in coming to You in prayer with our concerns and needs.

We lift up before You the situations we all face in our localities. We pray for these government leaders as we have for the federal and state. Please work in our local governments and the hearts and minds of our local officials, the mayors, town supervisors, the governing boards, city, county, and town managers. Give them wisdom in making decisions that affect the community, to make wise and godly decisions. Cause the judges to make just decisions and not play favorites or make decisions that puts their communities further at risk from violent offenders.

Please protect the local sheriffs and police from harm. Protect the firefighters and EMTs, many of whom are volunteers as they encounter dangerous situations.

Put a desire in their hearts to draw close to You and bring them to a place of salvation,

We ask for integrity of the local elections and that You would see to it that godly men and women come into office. Please remove from office those who work unrighteousness or who practice injustice or take bribes.

We pray that You're strengthen the churches in the area and give the pastors holy boldness to preach Your word uncompromised.

Ezekiel 9:

He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Blessed are all those who receive the LORD's mark and are sealed.
