Please join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

Father,

Thank You for the gracious gift of salvation that You offer us through Your Beloved Son, Jesus. Thank You for the gift of the indwelling presence of Your Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us, giving us Your wisdom and strength for all our life's issues.

We live in a time of great upheaval and uncertainty. Through Your Holy Spirit, keep us focused on Jesus that we not become weary or fainthearted.

We lift up especially today, the family and friends of Senator Lindsey Graham. Please bring them comfort with Your presence. Give them peace in their grieving. As this goes through the halls of the government, please use this to convict many in the political arena of their need for You and give them repentant hearts. Please save them and turn them into the godly leaders You desire them to be. Give those who know You special opportunities to share Your love with those who don't yet know You.

We also pray that as his position needs to be filled, that You would fill it with a godly leader. And for the upcoming elections, we pray that You would remove from office those who oppose You and put in those who honor You and do righteously.

Please turn this country around, starting at the top, with the leaders in this country.

Thank You for 250 years of freedom and bring about a great spiritual renewal starting in the church and there, raise up bold pastors to preach Your word without compromise.
