Father,
We thank You for Your unfailing love and Your desire to redeem us. We thank You for the lengths You went to to accomplish that. Thank You for the indwelling presence of Your Holy Spirit to lead us, guide us, strengthen us, and give us wisdom and knowledge of Your will. We thank You for establishing this country to be a beacon of hope for mankind and the rich Christian heritage we have.
We ask now that You would restore that heritage. Please send a mighty move of Your Spirit to blow across this land and cause a great spiritual awakening. Stir in people's hearts to turn to You. Please remove the blindness the Enemy has blinded them with that they may see Your Truth and be saved.
We ask for Your hand to move among the political leaders of this country, to strengthen those who are Yours and protect them from the attacks of the Enemy no matter what form they take, or to bring those who don't know You to a place of repentance and salvation.
This week, as there are many festivities, please protect all those who work to protect us and keep us free and safe, all the military, the police, fire fighters, EMT's ICE & DHS agents, and any other first responders. Protect their families as well from the attacks of those who wish us harm.
Please especially bless this 250th anniversary of this country You established.
In Jesus' Name

Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.
Amen
so very Amen
Lord, we pray that as a nation we will move away from the darkness and return to Your light.
The Holy Glorious and All-Praised Leaders of the Apostles, Peter and Paul (New Calendar)
Troparion
O foremost of the Apostles and teachers of the inhabited earth, / intercede with the Master of all / to grant peace to the world and great mercy to our souls.
Kontakion
You received the steadfast and divinely-inspired Heralds, O Lord, the Foremost Apostles, / for the enjoyment of Your blessings and repose. / For You recognized their labors and death as greater than any burnt offering, / for You alone know what is in the hearts of men.
Kontakion
Today Christ the Rock1 glorifies the rock of Faith / and leader of the Apostles with highest honor. / Together with Paul and the company of the Twelve, / whose memory we celebrate with eagerness of faith, / giving glory to Him Who glorified them.
The all-august feast of the Apostles has arrived in the Church of Christ,
as an occasion of salvation for us.
So mystically applauding them let us say to them,
“Rejoice, luminaries of those in darkness,
since you are the rays of the Sun.
Rejoice, Peter and Paul, unbroken foundations
of the divine dogmas,
friends of Christ,
worthy vessels.
Come and be in our midst invisibly,
and count us worthy of immaterial gifts,
as we extol your feast with songs.”
Amen, Metmom. Agreeing with you for a return to patriotism, our first responders and for the Light of the Holy Spirit to ignite those sitting in darkness. May they see a Great Light.
AMEN!
AMEN! Thank you.
Please especially bless this 250th anniversary of this country You established.
Amen to Every Word of your Beautiful Prayer, Dear Servant of Jesus Christ.
Joining you in Thanksgiving, Prayer, and Praise.
