Father,
We thank You that You are sovereign over all, that You establish kings and remove them. We thank You that You are in control of what's going on in the world.
As we look at this new year with a change in the political landscape in this country and all the evil men and women who were "elected" to office, we ask that You would use them to accomplish Your purposes. We ask, too, that You would turn their hearts towards righteousness and justice to accomplish good that they don't intend. Please also remove from office those who do evil, who pervert justice, who take bribes and kickbacks, those who can be bought or sold to the highest bidder. Please replace them with men and women who respect and follow the law.
For those in office who know You, please protect them from the attacks of the enemy, both physical, and also to compromise or give in to temptation. Give them wisdom, discernment, and clarity of thought to make good and righteous decisions. Make them strong in the power of Your might.
For those who don't know You, bring the deep conviction of Your Holy spirit to bear on their hearts and minds. Show them their need for You, and provide for someone to witness to them for their salvation.
Bless President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu as they meet.
We also pray for protection for all first responders and utility workers who will be dealing with the aftermath of these storms. Keep them safe and give them success as they serve others.
