Scripture told us to expect a Jewish return to the land before a national turning to Messiah. That “return in unbelief” can help evangelicals resist the new antisemitism, avoid romanticizing any government, and pray more biblically for Israel and her neighbors.
Not long ago, a secular Israeli friend tried to explain why, after building a successful life in North America, he was still thinking about going “back home” to Israel.
He is not religious. He is not part of a settler movement. He is weary of war and politics. Yet he told me, almost apologetically, “I don’t even know why. It’s like there’s a magnet. I just feel I belong there.”
That “magnet” is everything and nothing at once: family, Hebrew, history, trauma, culture — and, if Scripture is to be believed, the hand of God.
What makes his story so striking, especially for readers of ALL ISRAEL NEWS, is that the Jewish people are returning to their ancient land largely in unbelief. Most Israeli Jews today do not confess Yeshua as Messiah, and many are secular or loosely observant. And yet, after two thousand years of dispersion, they are home again — in roughly the same numbers as before the Holocaust, and on the same narrow strip of land the Bible calls Israel.
For many evangelicals who love Israel and follow the headlines — from the trauma of October 7 to the ongoing war of words and rockets — that combination of return and unbelief can feel confusing. For the prophets, it was expected.
This is not a glitch in God’s plan. It is part of the script.

Am Yisrael Chai!
“Yet irresistibly drawn home and preserved against all odds...”
Israel has been in existence close to 80 years. As many Jews live in the United States as in Israel. There are hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens living in Europe. No irresistible force in operation.

You just cannot resist your hatred of Jews and Israelis can you?
The evangelical obsession with secular Israel is just downright misguided. Flame away...
Evangelicals have read the Bible.
No “obsession” at all.
“You just cannot resist your hatred of Jews and Israelis can you?”
And you detect hatred in my posts based on what? I just happen to read the scripture differently than that guy. Or you. Does that make me a sinner?
You can ransack the New Testament until you get blue in the face and you will only find one verse where Paul spoke of the disbelief of the Jews in a sympathetic light. The rest of the scriptures he quoted from the Old Testament are blistering about unbelief.
I just get weary of people trying to shovel their beliefs about Jews onto me — and, like you, accusing me of murderous intent, no less — doctrines that are strangly non-existent in the New Testament, to be so vital to my salvation.
The Jewish lobby is the only one who holds the wrath of God over the head of anyone who disagrees with what they say. It is psychopathic. In a more sane, healthy society, they would be laughed out of the country.
There is a book out called Shepherds for Sale about the Jewish lobby buying off “Christian” evangelical leaders. It is disturbing. She has the receipts to prove it.
Which reminds me, the Bible generally condemns “shepherds” from Genesis to Revelation. Matthew 7:22 is terrifying.
So one person says he wants to return (and hasn’t) they write an entire story claiming it’s prophecy?
Payl was willing to go to hell, rather than see his people Parrish. And he was Apostle to the Gentiles.
This is called the Diaspera and we are witnessing a miracle in Israel. God’s Chosen People and is not finished with them.
Genesis 12:2-3
“No irresistible force in operation.” Pretty bold definitive statement backed up by what??? Feelings, direct knowledge of what all Jews in Europe are personally going through? Just plain dumb statement, sorry, but it is.
And does quoting that somehow reflect back to you?
“Pretty bold definitive statement backed up by what??? Feelings, direct knowledge...”
Direct knowledge.
Look it up.
Israel is 80 years old and there as as many Jews in the United States as in Israel. Where is that irresistable force, and does that writer know millions of Jews who experience that force, other than the single one he mentioned.
