The creator behind the viral “Thank You Jesus” lawn signs has been arrested and charged with receiving child pornography,
Lucas Timothy Hunt, 25, was taken into custody by the Invictus Task Force, where he was charged with Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, which is a felony. According to WFMY2:
“The investigation started in January when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided a CyberTip to law enforcement, leading authorities to track down the suspect. Court documents state that Hunt received a video depicting two pubescent females engaged in sexual acts.
After his arrest, officers transported Hunt to the Randolph County Detention Center, where a magistrate set his bond at $75,000. He will appear in Randolph County District Court on Wednesday.
Constance “Connie” Frazier, the president of the Thank You Jesus Mission, shared in a statement:
“Thank You Jesus has always been about more than one person, it’s about people who love Jesus and want to show their appreciation. Although we cannot comment on the criminal charges against Lucas Hunt, we can share that he blessed thousands of people through the Thank You Jesus Signs.”
The “Thank you Mission” was founded in 2016 when Hunt was just a teenager, selling 100,000 signs in the first year alone. According to the lore on their now-closed website:
Lucas Hunt, a teenager active at Hopewell Friends Church, has had a heart for putting up yard signs in his neighborhood during Christmas, reminding people that “Jesus is the reason for the season”. His plan was to put out signs again at Easter.
Around the same time another member of Hopewell, Connie Frazier, without knowing about Lucas’ plan, got the idea to do an Easter yard sign that said “Thank You Jesus”. It’s funny how God coordinates His work.
The Thank You Jesus signs are a testament of our gratefulness for Jesus’ saving grace. Our goal is to spread this message around the world through our yard signs.

I’d love to know more about this story before stringing this kid up. Per the article, he was charged with receiving a pornographic video, not sending it or filming it. This could easily be a setup.

If all it takes to ruin someone's life is to email them child porn it seems that would be awfully easy to do.
I'm gonna hold out for a little more info on this one. Typically, child porn pervs don't just have one file. They have tons of stuff, either on their hard drive or on some sort of cloud access via the dark web.

Bingo! I suspect the same thing. If such appeared in my mailbox (it has not) and I opened it am I guilty of child porn? This whole thing stinks.
If one shares this filth they are guilty as hell and deserve great punishment.
Yeah, someone set this kid up. They probably put it in a dropbox, he downloaded it thinking it was something else, and then, regardless of whether he deleted it or not, it was still on his computer.
The same thing as the Sandy Hook prosecutors emailing CP to Alex Jones. He never looked at it though.
the godless love when believers fall short, it helps them to point the finger at Christians and convince non-believers that Christians are hypocrites.
But the fact is this. Christians are not perfect, just forgiven.

When I get spam, I delete it. If there’s messages, click links or a video link. I delete it without looking at it. Too many viruses or creepy things like this lurking around.

Born again hristians are just sinners who accepted God’s mercy by accepting christ as savior. We don’t stop sinning, but by the mercy of God, we are sinless in his eyes when it comes to eternity because his,son’s blood covers our sin once and for all, and all we had to do was accept that fact and stop trying to work our way to heaven. The proud man wants to work their own way to heaven rather than bow a knee to God, and therefore they lash out at those who are redeemed by the ,ove of Christ and the unredeemed ,over to,point fi gers jusy like you said because they thunk it “equalize s” the Christian with them. Little do they realize that noone is perfect, so in that sense WWE are all equal, the only advantage we have is that our sins will not work against us as far as eternity goes (although they will work agaisnt rewards we may have earned had we refrained, AND we will still be held accountable for whatever sins we do here on earth, ie a christian who steals from so eone will have to do time if they are caught, the sexually impure will have to deal with all manner of bad results like venereal diseases, broken relationships, families falling apart, etc etc etc- being a christian does not exempt us from consequences, just from eternity in hell- what a merciful God we have that allows SINNERS like,us enjoy eternity ity with him in heaven! He is willing to,forgive all our sins, past prse t and future if we will simply accept his son as savior.
