FATHER GOD,

Praise be to the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, Who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in CHRIST. (Ephesians 1:3)

Throughout the Bible, You warn us to be alert and stand firm in the faith:

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the SPIRIT, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.( (Ephesians 6:18)

In this season of chaos and destruction, help us keep our eyes on You. Give us the desire and discipline to read the Bible so we will build our faith. Help us hide Your WORD in our hearts so we will not sin against You. Give us the capacity to pray for our enemies, so HOLY SPIRIT can transform disdain, offense, and hate into godly love.

It is tempting to get back at people who wrong us, but You command us to love them. Help us pray for their eyes to be open to truth and for them to repent of the hurtful, evil things they do.

Soften our hearts, LORD, so Your goodness can be revealed to those who are against us. Instead of harsh words and revenge, may we respond with kindness and mercy. “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” (Proverbs 15:1).

May our prayers for our enemies line up with Your WORD and Will.

In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.

Prayer For Grace To Forgiven As Christ Forgave

Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You that I have received forgiveness of my sins by grace through faith in Jesus and have redemption through the blood of Christ. Lord, You are so rich in mercy and grace, love and forgiveness, and I pray that I may be empowered to forgive others as Christ forgave me, unconditionally and without any resentment or hidden hurt.

Father, I know that in my own power I would not be able to forgive some of those that have caused me deep pain and anguish of heart, but Father, when I consider what Christ has done for me and how much I have been forgiven by You, I want to be able to forgive others in the same gracious way that You have forgiven me.

Give me the grace to forgive unconditionally, to forgive others as Christ forgave me. I ask this in His name,
